Ooh. That's a little tougher. Need a little more info.
First: What kind of laptop?
Second: What operating system?
Third: Are you kidding me???
Without knowing it, I guess I was kidding you. Never had a lap top before. It's an HP Chrome with Intel and I have tried a few different things but nothing seems to support cut and paste. Is that a Window's only tool? Forgive my knowledge about this stuff, they didn't have computer classes when I went to school. Most of my use of computers was limited by my job's requirements and it's scope and I only used my old home computer for news and e-mails. After 15 years, it has seen it's last byte and trip to the geek repair/upgrade shops.

You should have been a trial lawyer, pretty good closing argument.

Well, for the purpose of basic functionality, it shouldn't really matter how old it is - within reason, of course. If it's 15 years old, and assuming you got it new, I'd guess you're either running Windows XP or Windows 98 (ignoring Windows Me or 2000, nobody ran those even when they were new).
Tell me, do you have a 'Start' button at the bottom left of your desktop? If you do, left-click on it and right-click on the 'My Computer' se******n and then left-click 'Properties'. That will open a new window telling you all about what you have installed both hardware and software. You can read off your windows version from there. Whichever version you have, the procedure I outlined should work just fine.

Nope, no start button on my laptop. I think there isn't a solution unless I have a normal windows platform which chrome doesn't. I'll see if I can find a how-to video on YT, if there is one. Thanks for trying Larry and I appreciate it and your time.

Now you've really piqued my interest. It seems you're not running Windows but you have a PC compatible laptop. Very interesting! Some version of Linux, perhaps? Man, I wish we were closer, I'd be over there taking a look at this! Let me know how you fare, would you?

Try this Peewee.
With your cursor on the desktop, right-click your mouse once. If a window pops up, there will be a list. In that list is an item called ( new ). Just
move your cursor on ( new ). another list will open. In that list, you will find
an item called ( folder ). Move your cursor on to ( folder ). Left click folder.
If you have a windows system, that should install a new folder on your
desktop.
Try it, and if that works let me know. It should be easy from there, so I can walk you through the rest,
If that doesn't work, I have a son that is a computer expert. All he would have to know is what operating system you have, And perhaps we can help from there.

Chrome is a browser, not an operating system. Crome works within windows, not the other way around.

You're telling him exactly what I told him this morning, that's my point. I mean, literally down to the wording, it's the same procedure.
