It's no surprise that I don't like Donald Trump, but you may be surprised by the reason. It's not that I dispute his e******n; or that I disagree with his policies, though I do; and I do think he is a boorish man, hardly p**********l. The man was elected President. The country isn't in r*******n or i**********n and disagreement are being aired and discussed with words, and despite the continuing rhetoric from the right about 'enemies of the country' and 'treason' the system is functioning pretty well. The discord in DC is exactly what the founders intended. Limited government until agreement is reached.
The reason I don't like Donald Trump is because he doesn't understand that he holds an office. He thinks he is the office. That has dangerous consequences. Like this:

Donald Trump himself hinted at that with his '2nd amendment people' reference. Impeachment, if it comes, will be determined by the American people through their representatives. That's how the system works...it's a feedback loop. It's one thing to have the chattering classes (professional and amateur) talk of violence and retribution, but to have the Presidency consider the possibility of defying the v**e of the people with violence....
Really?
That's why I don't like Donald Trump...he thinks he is the State, something only a king would say, and doesn't know that.
The foul underbelly of America Trumped, now it is up to the decent people in the country to wipe and flush.

I guess you don't have TV or follow the news since you have never seen him fill a 50,000 seat stadium with cheering people week after week.
He is what real men have been waiting for for 50 years. I guess that leaves you out.

YOU, are not worth answering.

Then he doesn't have to worry about impeachment, does he?
And yet, at least one of his advisers does....worry about impeachment, that is.
What does your post have to do with mine? If you want to start a Trump cheerleading fan club thread, be my guest. It's what real men do.

Well, I guess you don't know what your writing about.

You do a lot of mind reading.
I personally don't like him either. He is a narcissistic ass. He's arrogant, he lies, he's easily provoked, and he tosses names like 2 year old.
But the fact remains that most of what he's doing is benefiting America. Manufacturing jobs are coming back. Businesses are hiring more people, giving raises and bonuses like they haven't done in decades. American businessmen are optimistic because Trump is not their enemy.
The fact also remains that we didn't have a choice between Thomas Jefferson and Trump. We had a choice between Hillary and Trump.
We know what Hillary promised to do. We know how corrupt and greedy she is. We know she's used government to benefit herself her entire life. We know she would have continued most of the destruction that Obama began.
My choice to v**e for Trump wasn't about Trump. It was about America. I was certain at the time that Trump would do better than Hillary. Trump has done much better than I anticipated, and the corruption we're continually uncovering about Hillary isn't surprising, but it is unacceptable.
I don't like Trump. But I do love America.
I told you why I don't personally like Trump.
Now tell me why you do or do not like Hillary.
I say people that do not like Trump do not like America. It's plain and simple.

I say you're quite mistaken.
I like the more important things that Trump does because I love America. I don't like him because of his personal traits.
I'd suggest to you that you're probably a lot better at telling people what you don't like than you are at telling me what I don't like.

I did not like Obama and still do not, but I never wish him dead like almost every lefty here on OPP does for Trump. The left lost to Trump so live with it. I lost to Obama and I lived with.
Is the left so thin-skinned ??

Fair question.
I don't like that Clinton represents the corporate wing of the Democratic party. I don't think that she is any more corrupt or greedy than her 2016 opponent, but the fact remains that she is part and parcel of the DC Dem. machinery. That part of the party has learned to play the Citizens United political game and it looks no different than the DC Republicans.
I tend to agree with many of her stated policy positions, however I think it would take a larger personality than she displayed to get those policies enacted.
I don't think she was a good representative of the liberal working class, much less the conservative workers, and I tend to think it was good that she lost. Not because that meant a Trump Presidency, but because it sent a wake up call to the DC Dems, and liberals on the local level.

Because they're hypocritical children that feel entitled.

Did obama's arrogance also rub you the wrong way when he informed you that you were to small minded to attained to your own affairs? Did it offend you when he would look you in the eye and lie throw his teeth? After 8 years of obama and hillary's treasonous crap Jeffery Domers would be a good president. When the last administration is being led to the gallows we will know Trump is not just a good president but a great president

While there are extremists on both sides, the country as a whole is still rather peaceful and going about it's daily business. There are 65m v**ers who did not v**e for the President and they are not r**ting, calling for civil war, nor are they being treasonous. They are living with it.

Yes, walking the political opposition to the gallows is a sign of a great president. Do you hear yourself?
