I have been active in my State of MO for some time, I try to keep up on gun Legislation and good bills, that support the Right to Keep and Possess Arms, I totally believe in the Second Amendment, and make no apology for my position. I am a Moderator on http//www.gunv**er.org this site is owned by Jeff Knox the Son of the Late Neal Knox. I currently belong to a locale tea Party called the Missouri Constitutional Tea Party, (Not affiliated with the National, as we work within the State of Missouri, for our interest.)
The hot button Bill before the MO Legislature is SB613 Named the Second Amendment Protection Act plain English it is a Nullification of all anti Federal Gun Laws.

Welcome Kelly and I hope you enjoy your stay here. I think every state is going to have to pass it's own legislation on guns to keep the feds out of our hair. Just look at the nonsense Conn. passed and now they are trying to figure out how to enforce it without starting a shooting war...........

Welcome on board here I am in the neighboring state of Illinois and I just saw some representative downstate introduce a bill to register every firearm in the state and to require a special ID or card or something so that you can purchase and register your ammunition. Hopefully we can get a republican pro gun governor in here. But again welcome and if this woman's law goes through you will have a whole lot of new residents in your state.

"The hot button Bill before the MO Legislature is SB613 Named the Second Amendment Protection Act plain English it is a Nullification of all anti Federal Gun Laws."

On the surface that bill sounds great, but I am wondering how the states are going to enforce those laws when the federal government will quickly remind us that federal law always supersedes state law.

It would seem that when a state goes up against the all-powerful federal government, they are wasting their resources. Look at the number of states that had laws against same-sex marriage only to have some activist federal judge come along and say their laws are thrown out.

Look at the number of states who refused to set up the exchanges for Obamacare only to have the federal government do it for them.

Look at the border states who have tried to regulate the illegal invasion into their states only to have the federal government tell them it's not their job and will not be allowed.

The Constitution gave 18 specific powers to the federal government and said that all the rest were reserved for the people and the states, but the feds have completely reversed that. It would seem that before any state can pass a law voiding federal law, the state is going to take back states' rights, and I don't think the feds will allow that without a war.

There are a number of states that are ascribing to a constitutional forum and adding in certain laws into the constitution like term limits and financial responsibility as well as other items to assist our government to be a lot smaller and more financially responsible. In other words we need to control the government not the other way around.
