Chuck Schumer is taking his big spending boost for Donald Trump’s border wall off the table.

The Senate minority leader, through an aide, informed the White House on Monday that he was retracting the offer he made last week to give Trump well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding Trump had asked for this year, according to two Democrats. And now they say Trump will simply not get a better deal than that on his signature campaign promise.

Schumer “took it off,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the No. 2 Senate Democrat. “He called the White House yesterday and said it’s over.”

In the now-infamous cheeseburger summit last Friday with Trump, Schumer offered a large increase in border wall spending as a condition for a broader deal to help Dreamers. But after that offer was rebuffed — prompting the three-day government shutdown — the president has now “missed an opportunity to get the wall,” one Democratic aide said.

You are right about the foolishness of a view of Mexicans attacking NOW. But, let pose another scenario, one much more possible. Today, Mexicans are the largest miniority group in our country. These numbers increase daily/weekly with continuing illegal border crossings AND the hundreds/thousands of anchor babies born every year. Now, the experts in the field predict that in a few more years (by or before 2050) Mexicans will be the majority people in the USA (predict over 100 million). Would not the USA, at that time, be ripe for a takeover by Mexico (maybe with help) through their citizens here in control?? My opinion has nothing to do with r****m nor hatred of anyone, but I do see unfettered movement of Mexico's citizens into our country a critical issue for our nation's future. What kind of nation is insane enough to allow itself to be overcome by so many millions of foreigners from one country??

Usefulness of walls disproven: new original research

Some of you may have shown moderate to severe despair after noting the absence of any significant "wall funding" in your country's new "Omnibus MoneyholeSpending Bill". We now have ultra-scientific proof to show that these fears are unnecessary. Without any doubt, the White House was advised by these same outstanding scientists.

Usefulness of walls: a disproven myth

Introduction: Many fringe groups have asked for the building of a wall on the Mexico-USA border in recent years. The korrekt scientific kommunity has struggled to disprove all the crazy notions about the ability of walls to stop anything.

Material and methods: In collaboration with the university of Tijuana, our research team built a series of sturdy houses with completely waterproof walls in a remote mountainous region on the USA mainland. Since the study only applies to walls, no roofs were attached to the edifices. Researchers placed a bucket inside each of these buildings. After exactly 7 days the buckets were collected and the amount of water inside them was measured by up-to-date scientific methods. One bucket was lost because the building in which it had been placed was t***sformed into a meth lab and our collecting researcher was shot dead. Another bucket was emptied by thirsty i******s crossing the border.

Results: A vast majority of buckets (180%) contained water (mostly without any urine contamination). To avoid triggering number-sensitive young people, we will not give any exact amounts concerning the samples studied. The data was analysed using Soroskalk, a Korrekt statistical software package, showing almost no inter-sample variability and decent reliability indices.

Discussion: These sturdy, impregnated concrete walls were unable to prevent water seeping into the buckets inside the buildings. Moreover, other research by Pelosi, Schumer et al. has shown that buckets placed under bridges remained mostly dry. We can only conclude that the building of walls is completely unnecessary and should be superceded by the building of ever more bridges.

But they Won't be deported, just as the other 20 million i******s will not be deported. BUT, more (about 30,000 monthly) will keep coming and we'll continue getting millions more every year through chain migration, visa lottery, TPS, visa overstays, student overstays, births to i*****l a***ns (about 300,000 yearly), and all the other programs that allow foreigners into our country. Western nations such as England are just about totally lost to their allowed invasion of Muslim migrants. And the USA will soon be totally lost to our allowed invasion of the world's poor/uneducated/unsk**led, legal and illegal, with the greatest numbers from Mexico, but all of whom steadily drain our resources, trash our environment, degrade our education system, force the closing of our medical centers, increase the cost of health insurance to paying citizens, downgrade the health care for paying citizens, etc.
