Don't know if anyone is with me on this but here goes. Ms. Oprah Winfrey comparing a woman who was RAPED by 4 men in 1944 to the women who were COERCED to have sex with Harvey Weinstein over the years is such a big reeking pile of horse hockey I can't even begin to describe it. LISTEN UP!! RAPE is when you are physically forced to have sexual relations. When you have sex with someone you don't really want to have sex with in return for what he/she can do for you or you think he/she can do for you that is a form of prostitution. I want to know why there is all this to do about what mostly amounts to silliness and victim mode on the part of women who, I'm sorry, were NOT raped. And not just talking about Weinstein there are so many cases with this #metoo B.S. that are beyond ridiculous. When there are children who HAVE no choice being sexually abused ALL THE TIME. And let's talk about "international crimes against humanity". Turkey allows that it is legal for a female to have sex at 9. Now THAT IS rape. No 9 year old girl has the interest or equipment for sex. So Tirkey has legalized rape and that's all hunky dory with the international community. I'm sorry but the hypocrisy and sheer bizarreness of this "narrative" turns my stomach.

There are plenty of prostitutes out there, going to work everyday for money to live. These women want to keep their jobs, or get a job and are told that this is the price. So, there is an unfair advantage, and so, coercion.

Coercion is not rape. With rape there is no choice. And grown up women aren't victims tho they apparently don't get that.

Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person's consent. The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority, or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, such as one who is unconscious, incapacitated, has an intellectual disability or is below the legal age of consent.[1][2][3] The term rape is sometimes used interchangeably with the term sexual assault.[4]

I guess you only know how to be contrary
I am speaking as a woman who had to keep a job but did not allow my ambition to blind me. I'm also a woman who would've immediately gone to the authorities if I wasn't able to enforce those boundaries myself. My point of this post is to point out that there is a big stink about people who ARE able to choose for themselves and not a peep about those that truly are victims. Sheer hypocrisy.

You obviously have not been paying attention. Authorities are complicit, it is in their best interest to deny that there are problems and to get rid of those who complain. Even when they have HR policies to deal with this, they only want to protect the company.

I'm a single mom who has been in the workforce for 50 years. Trust me, I've been paying attention. Coercion is b.s.. There's a choice involved. There's no choice in rape. You really don't know what you're talking about you're just being contrary.

Legally blind. And not like justice....
When I was younger and stupider, a country bumpkin. I wanted desperately to experience NYC. Somehow, I attracted the attention of a crazy, little man, wanted to make me a star, and was gong to throw a Mercedes into the deal. Well long story short, I made my CHOICE,
no Mercedes, no modeling contract. I was so happy when I returned to my rural home. There are many letches out there, many traps laid for young girls, but they usually have a choice in the matter. Sadly many choose to use the temporary advantage their appearance may give them. Hell we all use it, but to what degree. It is a choice.
