On November 7, Kuwaiti cleric Sheikh Saalim Bin Sa'd At-Taweel published a lecture on his official YouTube channel explaining the concept of jihad. Sheikh At-Taweel said that while jihad has different meanings, "jihad for the sake of Allah" means fighting infidels in order to spread Islam. He further explained that s***ery is part of Islam and that Muslims should not try to deny this. In fact, he said, s***ery is "one of the virtues of Islam" because it provides infidels with an opportunity to become Muslims and avoid the Hellfire. "Yes, there is defensive Jihad and offensive Jihad. Defensive Jihad means defending yourself. When you need to defend yourself, you do not need a fatwa. When you are attacked, you are allowed to defend yourself any way you can.
"Waging Offensive Jihad Means Attacking The Infidels In Order To Conquer Their Countries"; We Fight "In Order To Spread Islam"

This is a clear and unambiguous verse in the Quran. According to the Sunna, as it appears in the two Sahih compilations, the Prophet Muhammad said: 'I was ordered to fight the people.' Why? He said: 'until they attest that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His prophet, and they establish prayer, and pay the zakkat.'

How could I have been so confused.I always thought these people were a barbaric ,soulless cult and it turns out all they want is to save me from Hellfire.Wow how could I have misinterpreted these kind loving people when they throw folks off buildings,cut off their heads,stone them and of course the always popular burning them alive.Well live and learn that’s all we can do.Maybe they do these things to get a slow Saturday night going,after all they need to relax after a hard week of saving souls from Hellfire.

I understand the need to know. However this source is bought and paid for and reputation is pretty unbalanced. It also groups every one of that religion into a terrorizing barbarian group. Visit a mosque that welcomes Christians. Certainly some of the things they cite from history did happen. Remember we nuked civilians twice and owned s***es and we still celebrate both.

I too am doing my research. Bought and paid for does not necessarily mean wrong, but probably does mean less than forth coming in many respects. So your reply got me thinking. Just how many sects are there to Islam and are they all the same? Surely I should have been able to easily say..duh. But having not studied this at all, I figured it was time to educate myself. I am not done by a long stretch.
As for branding everyone of that religion as being a terrorizing barbarian group, that designation is absolutely disingenuous. The little research I have done has shown me that there is a plethora of sects. Some completely non-violent, others not so. So the rhetoric saying Muslims are violent is off, as are the apologies that they are a religion of peace. Neither is true. That is because there is no such thing as a "Muslim". Just as there is no such thing as a "Christian". Some Christians will fight and die and commit atrocities and some would not/do not hurt any living thing. They are not the same group of people.

I personally think a couple of nukes was a good thing and did not represent any worse crime than what was happening in Europe; and the bombing of the civilians of London. If Hitler had nukes, he would have used dozens of them.
