California had to take lessons from New York. I'm a native. I was born in NYC and it had been firmly in the hands of the Dems for years but there were some decent manager. Robert Wagner was a good mayor. Then it descended into liberal madness with John Lindsay, one of the original RINOs. He would have been to the left of most of the Democratic Party. But at least the state was in Republican hands, even if those hands belonged to Nelson Rockefeller.
Today, it is thoroughly Democratic with two of the worst that could be; a vicious goon for a governor, Andrew Cuomo, who talks like a Mafioso & Bill DiBlasio, a committed dogmatic relentless socialist, who wants every new building permit v**ed on.
