It is very grand that CNN doesn't have much of a viewrship these days

I say this because they pushed so hard for use of cannabus with their chance to watch that woman who got progressively higher on New Year's Eve on the game playing "Cannabus" in Denver. She wore ear rings made of marijuana leaves, puffed on a joint and showed off a bong attached to a face mask (supposedly a gas mask) and so on. They were just pushing legalized recreational pot and nothing else. I would have turned that crap off if I had been watching the Clinton News Network, which I sure wasn't.

Watch their "stars" at work in the videos.

You know I believe there is a place for medical marijuana, I know more than one cancer patient that got some benefit, (if it helps at all with your nausea and appetite or if you are dying I can't see why it matters if you are more comfortable doing it,) you should be able, without jumping through hoops to use marijuana. Even responsible recreational use, (if there is such a thing) might not be too bad, but promoting public, over the top drug abuse, we certainly don't tell people to go get blind drunk in public, is way too much.

The vast majority of us would be fired for abusing drugs at work. Many of us could lose our jobs simply by having a beer at lunchtime. Yeah, think about it...

I certainly would have been fired if I had been caught using during the work day. I was a high school teacher and coach who spent a lot of time trying to find kids smoking Mary Jane. I could always smell it in certain areas of the building but just couldn't catch the kids I knew were doing it. I live in a very conservative town that didn't go for that kind of crap. I was never told I couldn't drink alcohol but if I had been caught having a beer in the building I would have been thrown out immediately.

That's the whole point. There is a time and place for recreational use of alcohol, and since it looks like marijuana is on the way to being legalized there should be the same expectations concerning that as well. I don't want to see a bunch of drunks or stoners wandering around. Keep it at home and don't get behind the wheel

But just keeping it at home and using when somebody else could drive you around would stink. I wouldn't drive a stoner to any kind of activity but many people would.

Thanks. I have to wonder how many of our stoner supporters feel like that.

My main issue is with cancer patients, and I am sure there are other diseases that apply as well. As I said I sadly know a few people that no drug their doctors prescribed helped with nausea or vomiting, but marijuana did. All these people ended up dying. I think you should be able to use ANY drug you want that helps when you're that sick or dying

Do you suppose the man from Arkansas who admitted to smoking a lot of Mary Jane which caused him to do some "wild things" used that drug for medical purposes? I don't, but then I know too many recreational users, too.
