I guess you were not around 40 years ago when over 60 % Of our rivers were polluted and literally burning, and the water was so degraded they were virtually lifeless. Remarkably are rivers and streams are no longer polluted. Nixon also passed the Clean air act.

Why not google the Cuyahoga River fires. And while you’re at the Woburn Ma. Cancer Incident and environmental hazards damm near wiped out half the town with cancer.

Clean Air Ct reduced air pollutants that caused smog. Smog is just about non existent and at the time of passage the economy has more than tripled.
