For a change, I agree with you on the pesticide as an organophosph**e insecticide and used by the vast majority of farmers across the nation, much like DDT, the long term affects are too persuasive to ignore. This chemical affect birds to earthworms and is known to be the cause of the disappearance of fireflies. It has been used since 1986 and the affects are cumulative and may account for birth defects and r****dation (sorry, not PC). My opinion, it should be banned even though there is not a suitable replacement available.

Now for the errors in the meme you posted. The N**i scientist could not find a military use for broad spectrum insecticide as a weapon nor were they effective, it did not have an immediate k**l rate. So, they moved on to other gases such as Tabun and Sarin which did k**l within the time allowed of 30 minutes. So, they did not develop this gas, that honor goes to Great Brittan and the US. Dow Chemicals began marketing it in 1968 as a replacement to DDT.

In a broad sense, you can blame our President for lifting the ban on this substance... in that he appointed Scott Pruitt as administrator of the EPA, who subsequently decided to exercise his executive authority to reject the chlorpyrifos petition and reverse the previous EPA’s ban, which is a power afforded to Pruitt through the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act:Under section 408(d)(4) of the FFDCA, EPA is authorized to respond to a section 408( d) petition to revoke tolerance either by issuing a final rule revoking the tolerances, issuing a proposed rule, or issuing an order denying the Petition.

Dow Chemicals did donate to the Trump Inaugural Committee, not to his campaign. This was reported in the Hill . They also donated to George W. Bush inaugural committee (whose administration also sought to limit regulation on chlorpyrifos). I am sure if I dev**ed more time I could list the presidents (as their donation was made after the e******n) who also received donations for Dow.

I disagree that Trump is the Swamp but you know it’s about 20 people run the finance of the world anyway ! It’s amazing
how the US got into this mess anyway ! Goes back around 1972 when Nixon took the USA off the Gold Standard! I always had a budget that my dad taught me many
years ago ! He said , always live within your means and do not try to out do your friends ! The US Congress did not have my DAD’s teacher at all , if they did the USA would be in outstanding shape as money goes !

Actually it was FDR that took us off the gold standard on 5 June 1933. Nixon announced that the United States would no longer convert dollars to gold at a fixed value, thus completely abandoning the gold standard. In 1974, President Gerald Ford signed legislation that permitted Americans again to own gold bullion. My Poppa taught me the difference between want and need. He said to make sure to procure what is needed but sleep on the notion of buying what is wanted. This is a lesson that about 90 percent of Americans never learn.

On this, I could not agree more with you & your 'Poppa.' I have lived my entire life following that same advice from my Dad.

I also disagree that he is the swamp we was taught by our mother to do your own thinking listen when people is talking and make sure you exam everything before make a decision. Really the liberal news media thy to say he is a i***t and have done everything to destroy him with but he let them lead their selves into a trap I call that WISDOM. That what we were taught by our parents he has accomplished more in areal of Goverment than any other President in history I know I will get a lots of flack back it not how much Education you have it the wisdom that in the bible get wisdom but all thy getting, get unstanding. Also God Said in Romans. the first when he call preachers. Not wise and not many noble is called, but he call the base things to confuse the wise that no flesh will glory in his sight. President Trump has started the Econemy to start to growing again and put his foot down that he is not going to let UN dictate to America any more. The billions of dollars we are paying to country through the UN is money we could be using here for the Benfit of this Country. It a lots more I could say but I will say to all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year may God bless everyone.

I agree up to a point Penny !

If one has a 9 to 5 job that is advice that many should take , However had I not went in over my head in debt I would never been able to buy all the land I now own and operate same goes for someone starting a new business and there were several yrs I had some hard times but I stayed the course did without a lot of things my friends enjoyed looking back I have no regrets .

My sister was an RN and BIL was a machinist living in LA with their neighborhood going to pot they moved to Barstow CA and bought a business lived on her pay check and put everything from the business back into the business and liked to starved to death the first 5 yrs but thru self denial and hard work they are now very well off .

Debt if managed right can and will pay off big time , however there are no guarantees that one will not fail as I've know a few that failed and picked themselves up by their boot straps and became well off .

So you only wanted the land and did not need it? You had no need to become a landowner? I buy land because I have a need for the land, I buy a diamond because I want it. Big difference. Both may have the same asking price.... Go back and read my comment, I did not say some debt is bad, I said to separate out emotion of want from a tangible need, such as basic needs and that could include a new car, more land, or a start up business.

WOW you sure read a lot into my post that isn't there !

SO you say a farmer doesn't need land to farm ! ! !

For a farmer land to rent is very very hard to come by so if I wanted to farm I HAD TO BUY IT there was no other way SO yes I needed land !
