Mrs. Claus is now a mister in a new gay-themed Christmas storybook for children that has CNN and the rest of the Mainstream Media all aflutter.

“Santa’s Husband” tells the story of a black Kris Kringle and his white husband living in holy matrimony at the North Pole.

I don’t mean to curdle your egg nog, but the storybook was written for children as young as four-years-old.

Yes, good readers. Now you can tuck in your preschoolers on Christmas Eve and regale them with tales of Frosty and the Sugar Plum Fairy and a jolly old gay elf who slides down chimneys and stuffs holiday stockings.

“As this charming book reminds us, Santa Claus can come in all shapes and colors and sizes – just like the children and families he visits all over the world each Christmas Eve,” read a description of the book on Amazon.com.

Author Daniel Kibblesmith, a writer for “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”, told CNN he was inspired to write the book to “by the annual tradition we have in this country of pretending that there’s a giant war on Christmas, and that traditional Christmas is under attack.”

Mr. Kibblesmith also took exception with the generally-held belief that Santa Claus is a white guy.

“We were reading all of the news about Mall of America hiring a black Santa Claus last year and me and my now wife made a joke on Twitter that if we ever had a child they would only know about black Santa Claus and if they saw a white Santa Claus at the mall we would just explain ‘Well, that’s his husband,'” he told CNN.

Mr. Kibblesmith’s politically-correct version of Santa Claus is all the rage among Mainstream Media types – pretty much the same crowd that celebrates depictions of Jesus as a gay man.

The book is “as true and humble a Christmas tale as any Santa enthusiast could want,” declared Chicago Tribune writer Rex Huppke.

“And that is the beauty of this holiday tale,” he wrote. “The fact that Santa Claus is black and gay has little bearing on the story. What it’s really about is accepting that every family sees Christmas in a different way.”

Esquire.com heralded the book as “war on Christmas trolling at its finest.”

“The all-ages book about a black, gay Santa takes on the Yuletide zealots with a warm smile,” one headline screamed.

“In a lot of ways, it was just a reaction to people who wanted to police Christmas and keep it all to themselves, without acknowledging the reality of how diverse the country is, and how diverse our traditions have become—not just with people from different religions, but just with pop culture becoming one of the driving forces behind it,” Mr. Kibblesmith told Esquire.

Mr. Kibblesmith does not offer any advice for parents on how to address questions that might arise from curious youngsters. Like, for example, why does Mrs. Claus have a beard?

Well, I suppose it could’ve been worse. Santa could’ve been married to a g****r fluid, androgynous elf or a non-binary reindeer with a red nose.

St. Nicholas (died c.350)

Feast day: Dec. 6

An entire book could be dev**ed just to the patrons of children. More saints have been assigned to watch over infants, little boys and girls, and adolescents than any other group, perhaps because they are the most vulnerable members of the human family.

The saint with the longest history as patron of children is St. Nicholas, the 4th-century bishop of Myra and one of the most popular saints of all time. The number of churches, chapels, religious institutions, and altars dedicated to him throughout the Christian world defy counting. His cult is still strong in the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church and in the Orthodox Church, but in the West St. Nicholas has suffered a set-back.

Since the mid-19th century, particularly in the United States, St. Nicholas has been tangled up with Santa Claus; as a result, devotion to Nicholas has diminished. It's hard to pray seriously to someone described as "a right jolly old elf." It would take too long to explain how St. Nicholas came to be associated with Santa, but interested readers will find the story laid out in two fine books, Charles W. Jones' Saint Nicholas of Myra, Bari, and Manhattan: Biography of Legend, and Stephen Nissenbaum's The Battle for Christmas.

Nicholas was born to a Christian family in Patara in what is now Turkey. He became a priest and eventually was named bishop of Myra. Although his name does not appear on the oldest lists of bishops who attended the Council of Nicaea, a strong tradition among the Greeks insists he was there and even slapped Arius across the face when the heretic was bold enough to assert that God the Son is less than God the Father.

Nicholas' patronage of children comes from an ancient legend that tells how he raised from the dead three little boys who had been murdered by an innkeeper. The most popular story about St. Nicholas, one that is still well-known, tells of his compassion for three poor young women. Their father had lost his fortune and with it all hope of providing dowries for his daughters. To save them from their poverty and the threat of having to support themselves as prostitutes, Nicholas threw bags of gold coins through an open window of the poor family's house so that each daughter would have enough to make a good marriage.

In the 11th century, the Seljuk Turks began encroaching on the territory of the Byzantine Empire. By 1084, Myra, the site of the tomb of St. Nicholas, was in Muslim hands. Although the Turks had not defiled the shrine, many Christians in the West thought it scandalous that the relics of St. Nicholas should be in enemy hands. The Venetians planned to rescue the saint, but in 1087 merchants from Bari in southern Italy got there first. Today the relics of St. Nicholas lie in the crypt of the grand Romanesque basilica the people of Bari built for the saint, and pilgrims - both Catholic and Orthodox - continue to visit the shrine.

To celebrate the patron saint of children, it is the custom among the Austrians, Germans, Swiss, Belgians and Dutch to give small gifts and candy to children on St. Nicholas' Day, making the feast a sweet prelude to Christmas.

I find this book ridiculous! And the gay people I've spoken with today (just a few) agreed.

Jesus was a Jew so he was middle eastern. Santa (St Nicholas) was not black, and was not homosexual. The fictional take off of the saint could be any nationality you wish but to make him into a homosexual is pushing an agenda not providing a story for children. If you want to be all inclusive make him a drug addict too, there are more drug addicts and alcoholics that the number of people in the entire L***Q group which is less than 3.5 % of the population.
