The American Internal Conflict

Trump has a lot of work to do!

On the one side of this conflict you have the Elites and their fellow travelers, the MSM, TV News, The Academics, almost Half the Congress, the Deep State, and sundry other Trump-H**ers. On the other side you have the Middle Class Working Americans and some others that v**ed Trump into office and cheers him on to realize his very welcome agenda. Simply put, it is a war between the Elites and the Common Man.
This war between the manicured elites and the dirty-handed, ordinary people is going to last as long as Trump is in office, and even beyond, since the fundamental issues in this war will remain. Fundamental issues such as:

1. Preservation of the Constitution,
2. Growing the Economy and Jobs,
3. Defending the Nation,
4, Assuring the Role of Christianity in a Diverse Society,
5, Defending the Nation against Utopian Ideologues and threatening Religions: Humanism; Socialism; C*******m; Islam, etc.
6. Defending the Nation against Identity Politics, and M**************m/Diversity/Political Correctness,
7. Ensuring Fair and Necessary Taxation,
8, Reform of Immigration Policy
9. Countering the Deep State Effectively,
10. Slimming Down the Government,
11. Reducing the National Debt,
12. Restoring P***e, Patriotism, and the Work Ethic to all Americans,
13. Bringing Affordable Healthcare to the Nation,
14. Reworking the Education System to Benefit Our Students,
15. Reducing government waste, fraud, inefficiency, and bad employees,
16. Refurbishing the Nation's Infrastructure.

I applaud President Trump for his promises and their fulfillment going forward; I hope he gets a second term to put paid to these issues completely.

A remarkable fact is that the US Government has over 1,240
departments, bureaus, committees, agencies, boards, commissions, councils, services and other organization types, each of which has a budget, a staff, offices, a constituency of needy or perhaps well-heeled souls, and a charter or mission to do some business of the government, according to the LSU Database of Government Entities.

Obama naturally made sure that LSU carefully hid their original summation of these entities because it would reflect on him as he pursued adding many more, some say another 100 or more, to the pot via Obamacare. To make this situation more difficult, each of these entities has one or more congressmen and senators dedicated to their continued survival, and even real growth in their mission, power, and funding.

This gaggle of entities is certainly one part of what we call the Deep State, and to change it by reducing the size or the existence of these operations provokes a serious fight with the supporting congressmen and the constituency they serve. So fighting against a significant portion of the 1,240 entities is a daunting thought to anyone: I hope Trump is up to it! I understand that Reagan attempted to cut this number down, but he only managed to take away about 100 of them.

1) Why would government want to assure the role of any religion? You say you want to preserve the constitution and then you say that government should ensure the role of a single religion? If you don't understand the constitution how can you preserve it?

2) Reducing national debt and ensuring fair and necessary taxation. You do understand that Trumps tax cut is going to add at a minimum 1.4 trillion dollars to debt. So where does the reducing national debt and fair and necessary taxation come into play?

3) Bringing Affordable Healthcare to the Nation. Healthcare is an item of infinite demand. Conservatives insist on free market capitalism. There is no way in a free market system where infinite demand can be met and prices not increase based on wh**ever amount that the market wants.

4) Restoring P***e, Patriotism, and the Work Ethic to all Americans. So where in our founding documents does it say that government's job is to restore p***e, patriotism, and work ethic in Americans? Any more of this type of patriotism and I will click my boot heels together and stiff arm Seig Heil!

The only thing you are demonstrating here Manning is just how screwed up you cons really are.

who am I; what am I doing here; and where am I going? Respond to these questions honestly and maybe you will gain some insights on your beingness and 'realize' that all of us are 'asleep' in this world of 'realistic illusion' and individually engaged in the eternal Divine play of the opposites.

On 1. There are things the government can do to keep a level playing field for religions to flourish and not be assaulted through the courts or badgered into changing to L*****t supported policies that impact negatively on one or another religion, especially Christianity, which is under assault from the atheist Left.

on 2. This does not account for the rising GDP from vastly increased economic activity, which increases revenue, and thus affords us the opportunity to pay down on the debt. Econ 101.

on 3. There is such a thing as free markets with constraints, which has been the model we have used for a very long time. The constraints are important to limit market excesses, and again to create a level playing field.

on 4.Idiocy seeks its own level.

When the government demonstrates its adherence to great policies, leadership, creating sound legislation, removing unsound policies and legislation, removing poor performers, waste, fraud, and inefficiency from government entities, making a favorable environment for business, and creating advantageous foreign relations, especially in trade, it is most definitely inspirational to the citizenry, since this spills over into the private sector dramatically because of less taxes and more jobs. Then come a boost in p***e, and with that, a boost in patriotism, all of which takes time to realize.

A favorable work ethic is a harder nut to crack, since it comes from being taught about it and demonstrating the ethic to our young, mostly by parents. Today, I believe few youngsters show that they have been taught a good work ethic, so this is on parents to do a better job, and for them not to teach how to float through life with government or charity handouts.

I believe you need to get with the American Way, and dump your fetish for collective solutions.

The central function of government is to ensure that ALL the rights of it's people are upheld. You have a right to your religious views. You have no rights to extend those religious views over others.

I've taken Econ 101 and you won't find any such non sense in it. Under both Reagan and Bush the year over year rate of growth in revenue declined. Under Bush, Obama's 09 revenue starting point was where Bush started in 2001. I can find no other time when that occurred...

This is nothing but a smokescreen coming straight out of your ass. First, Trump has butchered foreign relations. The Japanese are furious that he backed out of the WPP basically handing Asia to the Chinese. Australia detests him, Europe detests him, England detests him and won't even let him in the country, Mexico detests him, Canada just tolerates him. The only countries that approves of him are Russia, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. And exactly what great policies is government adhering too? This is purely subjective and the only p***e being boosted are amongst the 35% of conservative's who will support him no matter what.

You DO realize you are talking about the US government, right? the one that is run by unelected, unaccountable, overpaid and under-brained bureaucrats who are never held responsible for anything?
We will not have the government you envision as long as we have the current e*****rate. People who can tell you everything there is to know about their favorite football team and have no idea how their representative v**ed last week.
People who are so wrapped up in reality TV they have no conception of reality.
Incumbents are re-elected at a rate of well over 90% and then the people who did so wonder why nothing changes. They blame the people they just put back into office. If you wish to change the stew, you have to change the ingredients.
"Gee, Joe, we'd better stop screwing our constituents. They're liable to re-elect us if we keep this up."

Well, loci, there are times when things go wrong with Liberals in power, and a time when things go right with Conservatives in power. Somehow Congress has seen it expedient to reform the tax code, and the House will v**e it in again tonight, despite total opposition from the dims. When you get them all to focus on just one thing, good results are forthcoming. Not all the reps or Senators are dunces, and they appear to be falling in line today. That is a grand thing, don't you think?
