Larry the Legend Loc: Not hiding in Milton

Back in the 1960s, a rising political star built his reputation on his opposition to campus protests in his home state of California. In 1967, the newly elected governor wrote a letter to the chancellor of San Francisco State College to express his outrage: "How far do we go in tolerating these people and this trash," the governor asked, "under the excuse of academic freedom and freedom of expression?"

Now, wasn't that an excellent question?

That governor was future president Ronald Reagan. It must really rankle these California socialists that a great American icon emerged from their state.

PLT Sarge Loc: Alabama

And in the same frame of someone standing up. George C. Wallace did not stand at the doors, protesting B****s going to college in Alabama. He stood there on State Rights, saying the Federal Government did not have the authority. Indulge me please. In 1970 Coach Bear Bryant scheduled Bama's first game of the season with USC. Alabama got stopped. USC was mostly Black. After the game, Bear got with other SEC coaches and basically told them. If the SEC wants to be a National Division, then we have to recruit B****s. He went on to say, I don't know what you'all are going to do but next year I'm gonna have some Black boys on my team. AND THE REST IS HISTORY.
