Where is God in all our discussions? For many of us here, this our base. It needs to be in the fore on all discussions. Anything short of that puts us nd our nation at risk.

"We the liberal people of the United states, decided it was better if we separated from him,,,,, not only in our hearts but all over our public buildings and governing agencies...

Why? The only nation God ever committed to was Israel.

Where is that written? Please don't provide anything too tangential that must be interpreted.

I'm a Christian who can read. I am also fairly liberal. It's because of my faith. .
I ALWAYS hear conservative Christians even in my church say they conservative because of their Christianity.
When I read the Bible, I notice that the most talked about subject is charity and helping the poor. (By far) But my conservative friends seem to h**e the poor, as though they have not right to exist. Certainly they don't deserve food or medical care or the right to v**e. Can anyone tell me how conservatives come to this conclusion? Please?

If you don't have faith, it doesn't mean that you are right. If I am wrong, I will have been a good person. If you are wrong, there may be consequences.

Judaism, like most religions, was a pre-scientific attempt to explain how life and the universe work. There are only about 10% of Jews (the orthodox) who actually believe in the concept of the chosen people. There are far more evangelicals who believe Israel was "chosen" than there are Jews who believe this ancient superstition.

I for the most part have been left with the feeling that how we view God & religion is varied & personal.

I feel most of us believe there is a God.

That being said being on a site like this I assume that when some one speaks out that persons love of God is in the words they speak.

As we differ so in how we view things I would say that discussing God be left to another area of our life.

My response was in fact sarcasm, which doesn't discount your answer in any way-I agree. I feel that there is a real lack of knowledge of the bible. Collectively, the church is always trying to seek out something about our nation with respect to belief and yet I would argue that a lot of rich people think life is quite grand regardless of the missteps of a few "bad" people.
