Mad Dog Mattis Just Sent ISIS A Message They'll Never Forget
In a show of force using newly expanded military authorities in Afghanistan, U.S. warplanes destroyed eight Taliban opium production facilities.
Gen. John Nicholson, the U.S. Forces commander in Afghanistan, said that the U.S. and Afghan forces took out a total of 10 facilities in the first day of Operation Jagged Knife.
Jagged Knife was a combined air operation using Afghan A-29s, U.S. B-52s, and F-22s to destroy a series of factories being used as revenue streams for the Taliban.
This operation was the first use of the F-22 to conduct airstrikes in Afghanistan.
