In the eighties such economic endeavors were known as Reaganomics or voodoo economics
The trickle down theory. In all earnest I have to admit,I experienced or felt the drizzle,I went from unemployment to respectfully ,jobs that compensated me to the tune of 3.75 an hour,to all of 4.00 bucks an hour;for those of you that don't know what the theory is,it goes like this -keep a economic climate conducive to businesses growth and expansion and the underlings within the social economic hierarchy[ the middle class, and under class] will benefit as the status quo does, VIA trickle,my piece of the action was non gainful employment of 3.75 an hour.
The Republican tax plan is an ardent congruity of trickle down philosophy.Trickle down theory is either a result of someones massive ineptitudnes at economics or some sinister evil quasi socialist concept antithetical to the concept of a free market system that certainly would not flourish a democracy as Americans know it to be.
Think of the mathematics fundamentally.the unemployment rate is at approximately 5%,there are approximately one hundred and fifty million people that are contributors to the governments revenues, also factor in businesses, all.Their tax plan encompasses across the board tax cuts,to off set and replace loss revenues by the goverment. The loss revenues will be made up by the 5%,[ approximately 7.5 million ] which they contend will be endoctrinated into the tax payer roll.7.5 million peoples taxes are going to compensate for the possible 150 million tax payers that have been given a tax cut,Furthermore, professional economist all agree the a 0 percent unemployment rate is not conducive to a healthy economy, and can be inflationary .It is not absolution[that is an old economic cliche] that business will grow and expand creating new jobs and specifically target that 5% that constitute the 5% unemployed.
What is the drug of choice of the high profile, how were they thinking?

Relax, and understand the substance of the New Tax Plan. Preliminary tax format has been submitted, ans Senate approved it. It looks pretty good. It will need reconciliation between the House and the Senate plans. At present, the Senate plan looks more attractive to the Middle Class, as long as the property tax is allowed, per Senator Collins. I prefer the Senate plan.

I think 99% of the Middle Class, either lower of upper Middle Class will reduce their tax liability. The most exciting to happen is when this plan of 20% for corporate and business taxes are implemented, we will have a booming economy. Wait and see. I will prove this later after the Senate and House version have been reconciled. I hope the Senate version is considered with some property tax adjustment to max of $10,000.

As long as it creates manufacturing jobs it'll work fine is what I'm thinking.

Put people to work. Businesses begin having to compete for workers again. Wages go up.

Since wages have been stagnant for a long time I'm wondering why it's taken so long.

I Had A Manufacturing Job
And It Was Way More Than 3.75 Then 4.00
And There Were Better Paying Jobs Than I Had

Sometimes You Have To Move To Where The Work And Pay Are
Remember:
Wealth Doesn't Trickle Up From The Slums

I've Also Met People From My Past
Changing The Tires On My Truck
Delivering TVs And Working At Convenience Gas Stations
It's Like They Never Learned How To Apply For Real Jobs

First we had an agricultural based economy, during the nineteenth century, progress dictated that we transcend to a industrial based economy;during the latter nineteenth century and half of the twentieth century, the powers that be had decreed or surmised that the prudent thing to be is a service orientated economy; along about the latter half of the twentieth century, now what this means is that factories are in a state of obsoletion, have been since the end of world war two,One,for health purposes,no more smoke stack environments.... bad for the health, and two the demand for it is no longer exist due to the fact that the country has been built. If one knows anything about business, one knows, the prerequisite for engaging in enterprise is there must exist a demand, can't sell a man something he doesn't want or need.... oh well,so much for D.Trump bringing back the factory jobs.

Just how will that 7.5 million be "indoctrinated?" (BTW, I corrected your spelling). Will they be sent to re-education camps? Brainwashed in a mental facility somewhere? How does indoctrination figure into a tax plan other than convincing someone to accept it?

Wow don. You must have had a pretty pitiful set of sk**ls, drive, and work ethic. I was making 6.56 when I graduated high school in 81 at an Albertsons grocery store stocking groceries. A year later I went to work at a door factory starting at 7.75 an hour.
I did pretty good in the 80s. Bought my first house when I was 19.

I believe it's the ol supply and demand, since jobs have moved out of the country and given to foreigners in IT, there are a lot more people than there are jobs. Your right Mike our priority should be jobs, and promoting (redirecting) people in the IT fields. Not to mention that people are being more and more replaced by automatons and robots.
