Dear Don:

I agree with everything you posted . . . except that at age 85 I am not too tired to stop fighting all these trends.

I will forever say "Merry Christmas", hold a door for women and stand and salute our f**g during the National anthem
with tears in my eyes when I realize the price paid by others to be able to do so.

I agree with both of you. Thanks for saying it like you believe. Political correctness has done way too much damage to this Country. I'm still praying for Jesus' return.

Why don't we leave the blame on the liberals where it belongs, Sam. You state that he did nothing to stop liberalism and creeping socialism. How do you know? I, along with many, many other people did all we knew how to do to stop the attacks on prayer and k*****g of babies. We built Christian Schools. We wrote our congressmen. We talked to others, trying to persuade them that the world was on the wrong track. The problem was, and is, we didn't have a big enough soapbox. Sure, we tried to preserve some nice things for ourselves and family but there is only so much one can do to make a difference. Most of us who value our Judeo-Christian beliefs have sacrificed much to defend and encourage it. You may be right about its being too late. I am still going to fight as much as I can for what I know to be right. We may not win on this side of Heaven but we have the promises of Jesus that this is not worth comparing with the glory that lies ahead, and I'm not talking about 72 virgins. Hang in there.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men k*****g their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims r**ting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the g*****ls of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach h**e in Australia , New Zealand , UK, America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-wh**ever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 75. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughters and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

I'm sick and I'm sick and tired of all the things you are s**k of, DD. We're sick
and tired of all the same things that millions of Americans are sick to death of.
The government lying to us, stealing from us, corrupt morals in people who
promised to do a fair and honest job if elected, how were we to know it was
all a big h**x. S**k of John McCain, s**k of Schumer and Pelosi and Maxine
Waters and all the othe big mouths who rant and rave and couldn't do half
the job the Trump and his Melania are doing. Now, I'm ranting and only
meant to say, I AGREE! Many many of us do.

I agree 110% with you being your same age.
I hear all the elites wanting to abolish our second amendment but most tv shows and movies glorify both men and women shooting up some place with guns and making look glamorous.
I too and glad I am on my out.......not on my way in.

Don, I'm older than you but I have told my friends many times exactly what you said. And you and I, are extremely fortunate to have lived in this country when we were the very best the world had to offer. I was born into poverty but thanks to capitalism and hard work my family and myself have solidly joined the middle class with all the perks. I'm retired, I have two cars and my home is paid off. I live well. However when I was young I loved my freedom. I had a Rottweiler named Shep and he and I wandered all over Durand Eastman Park in Irondequiot, N.Y. when I was eight years old. The park is a huge woodland with four lakes. There were no leash laws, just a boy and his dog enjoying freedom. My Mom never worried about me because she knew Shep would protect me. I delivered papers from the time I was eight until I graduated from High school. The Democrat and Chronicle, and the The Times Union. Morning and night routes. What can a kid do now to earn money and learn responsibility? It was a better time and we ALL, both Democrats and Republicans were Americans and proud of it. At Durand Eastman Grammar School, we started every assembly with the 23rd Psalm. We joined the Point Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department at 16 with great p***e. We never locked our doors and we had no real crime. We were integrated and we had black kids in our classes. Education was universal. When I went to college we were taught how to think for ourselves, not like now where students are taught what to think, not how to think. Different place, different time and it was the very best the world could offer. I'm glad I'm old. I don't want to be here when America is destroyed by one world government and socialism. We lost our way as a nation when I was in Vietnam and the hippies like Manson began taking over the country. Hippies and drugs have destroyed what was once the shining star of mankind, the United States of America.

Good for you for standing up. How do you know Don didn't? I agree that a lot of decent people to some degree let the left get away with degrading our culture and society. But not every one stood by in apathy. For the most part I believe decent people overestimated the decency of their fellow citizens and even though they were aware that evil exists they assumed others saw it too and it wouldn't let it take hold in any permanent way. I am still amazed at the (it seems) growing number of h**e filled, useful i***ts who seem wedded to the far left ideology of serfdom after living a life of liberty here in America. And I agree that one man, (any man) can't fix this problem. But God is still in charge and He does have a plan, and if we let Him he will guide us to do the right thing

Don, I am a southern lady of 78 years and I feel as you do watching our country's destruction. I so very much want us to stop this but don't know how. Obviously, congress pays no attention to letters, emails or calls no matter how many, or many times we say, "No, no, do not do that!!" They just ignore us. And, like you, I am so tired of worrying about the kind of nation my great, great grandchildren will be trying to survive in. I am so tired of feeling helpless to do anything to stop this terrible changing of America.

Gman Terry, I, also, grew up then in a small rural southern community and I agree it was a better time than today. One thing I miss so much is knowing my fellow Americans are loyal to our nation and fellow citizens first, foremost, always. Today, it seems clear that our leaders (congress) and millions of our citizens value only foreigners, even at the expense of Americans. I simply cannot understand the reason behind this terrible let-the-world-in view except to see it as a push to totally change America into a third world, poverty stricken, violence ridden subsidiary of corrupt, cartel controlled Mexico. What is most puzzling to me, is why so many Americans would actively push for such a horrible future for their descendants. Do they not think? Do they not care?

I’m older than don. Grew up in the 40’s. And If I read him right, he was just like so many of us that believed in or Government. We believed that most all people meant well.
That our f**g and our Constitution,
was foremost in the hearts of all citizens.

After all, we had just defeated an enemy that had waged war on all of man kind, for the 2nd time.
And at the same time defeated another country that had so viciously attacked us on our own soil. No small feet to be sure. And I remember my dad saying to me when I was a small boy.
The country is tired son. So very tired.

I didn’t know what that meant then, but I sure as hell know now.

And it does seem to me, at that point in time, all the people wanted, was to get back to work, forget about the hard times, and get on with our lives.

And lets not forget, at the same time this country was coming out of the great depression.

So I don’t think it to much of a stretch to realize, the citizens of this country were vulnerable to social engineering.

I am not going to blame Don or the rest of us, for being in the silent
majority. And I think it is wrong of you to do so. I could ask you the same thing. Where were you when all this crap happened? What were you doing to help prevent this.

I’m sure Don was busy raising a family, working to make a good wage
so he could provide for his family, obeying the law and what was right, just as we all did at that time. Believing just as we all, that our government would look out for us.
Never suspecting our own government was the enemy.

Oh no, this is not the fault of Don or any of us. You want some one to blame. Try blaming the politicians
that put the fox in the hen house.
Blame the money grubbers, crooks and the thieves. There right in front of your eyes. Stop looking in shadows, and behind trees for the boogie man. Stop blaming the good people, and lay the blame on the bad ones.

The eyes of the country are open now. And we made a very good start to take our country back by making Donald Trump our president. Never give up. That’s a sign of a defeatist.

And if you think that will help, than you are a good part of the country’s problem.

You just not only expressed my frustrations but the same as others here from our generation. I Sir refuse to just ride of into the sunset like SHANE or Randolph Scott. For your girls and my great-grand kids we have to fight so they can have the Freedom to grow up the we did. I believe that when we reach this age, we have the duty to speak our mind, proclaim what is right and wrong. I don't think that God brought me through two wars just to sit on my ass and do nothing. STAY THE COURSE, we need all the troops we can muster.

"I'm 75 and Tired" Worth reading...

I'm 75, Except for brief period in the 60's when I was in the Navy, I've worked hard since I was 14. Except for some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years (Hungover Several Times However!). I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight g****l w*****g, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?
