Democrats bankrupt another city

On Wednesday, Moody's downgraded Chicago's credit rating, ranking it only three ranks above "junk". Only Detroit has a lower credit rating than Chicago.
Moody stated they did this due to the city's unfunded pension crises.
Chicago has made the same mistake as Detroit, they have effectively driven the middle class out of the city and into the suburbs due to one of the highest tax rates in the country, a high union and poverty presence, and low business activity due to outrageous business taxes.
Will Chicago go by way of Detroit?

You cannot get 2 cities more "blue" than Detroit and Chicago. Perhaps the Democrats might have some clue as to why this is happening to the two most liberal places in the states.

I'm not conservative Im Independent, so I wouldn't know. But I have lived in both Kentucky and Wisconsin, and my experience with liberal areas that have NO conservative input at all go downhill real fast. Chicago doesn't have a Republican in office, and neither did Detroit.
I'm just noticing a pattern. Chicago just happens to be a location close to me now, but Ive never cared for it.

It is a pattern with those type cities though, I agree with you on that.

That's why as much as liberals and conservatives throw punches on this site, I'm happy for it because we HAVE to have checks and balanced. That was the purpose of the constitution. Far-left leads to miserable poverty and bankruptcy. Far-right leads to lawlessness at its extreme.

Perhaps I should revise a little this post. It is not the left nor the right who has bankrupted cities, at least not the left nor the right in their pure form.
Rather it is unchecked corruption. Chicago is corrupt. So was Detroit. I predict either New York or L.A. will be next.
My father was a Republican and my mother a Democrat. They are still married after 45 years. So see, we CAN get along! Both of my parents have mellowed their stances due to the corruption noted on both sides.
