I like the last one best of all. Show respect for everyone because it's a reflection of your self-respect. So many, on both sides of the debates, and even on OPP, deteriorate into vile contempt for the other side. There's no excuse for it.

To their tiny minds, good manners and common courtesy are signs of weakness or timidity. They think you're running away when all you're doing is being friendly. Show your teeth every now and again; I find they respect that, like a cur dog around the alpha male in the wolf pack.
