Could you replace the apricots with plums, and add in tangerines, nectarines, and perhaps a pineapple or two? Oh, and I love salted, boiled peanuts. And why wouldn't I? After all I do live in , what is euphemistically(?), pejoratively (?) known as, the land of fruits and nuts.

just buy a pineapple, cut the top off about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and plant it in a 10 inch flower pot keep the tray full of water and in 18 short months you should have a pineapple when you eat that one save the top and repeat

I won't inquire if one of you favor a pineapple, hence your aversion to same.

I do that. Right now I have one that has been growing for almost a year. I also plant avocado seeds and they grow nicely for me.....they do not bloom nor give me any fruits, but the trees are beautiful. I have done the same with other seeds....we always have seeds and I plant them. Wow, I thought I was by myself in this unusual hobby.

I have an avocado about five feet tall in a 14 inch pot that I grew from a seed I can't remember if it's 3 or 4 years old I guess I've planted a couple dozen seeds but only one grew we have a guava tree we bought from home depot that is about 7 feet tall two years ago we got one guava smaller than a ping pong ball this year we got five we set the pot down stairs about three months ago and a humming bird built a nest in it and raised two babies they just flew away yesterday the first time I tried the pineapple we got one the size of a gulf ball the one I'm growing now has been growing for two years it quit once then starter again but no pineapple yet

I could only suggest you "not give up the ship" yet. Who knows what may t***spire in the future. Perhaps a larger container might help. I don't have a "green thumb" so any suggestion I make is probably moot.

Good to know, Alex. However, I don't believe my appetite or patience would be willing to wait 18 months between servings of pineapple. I will go the traditional route, and get my pineapple at the local grocery.

AuntiE, obviously, won't send me any.

Thank all of you for your kindness, and charitable posts. However, it does not assuage the shame I still harbor toward myself. It was inexcusable of me.

If that is indeed true, then we could quite possibly be derrière twins.
