In a post I made about pulling out of this forum, the same as I did after we returned from Afgan. Because there was to many that only want to spit their hatred. hemiman called me out. Called me coward. I posted a reply, have not seen a reply. I want to say now. I'm so tired of having to wade through all you swamp frogs. When I was a kid we would go to the Creek at night and Gig frogs. Good eating, sometimes all the meat we had. So, for anyone of you left, progs, dems that feel that you want to take me on. Bring it on. If you h**e America, get the Hell out. What about all of your Hollywood IDOLS. Stating that if Trump is elected they were going to leave.

He gave you a reply, and a civil one. We sometimes think that people live on OPP, this is not the case. Some people do of course, but many of us have a life. For example, I am retired, but I do animal rescue. I also volunteer at the local homeless shelter in addition to having a farm with animals who need care and a family. So, I do not stay on OPP.... What I am trying to tell you, do not get your feelings hurt if you do not receive immediate responses to your comments.

Hemiman is a very good person, he is a plain speaking individual who will give you honest responses. Sometimes those responses may be hard to read, but if you take the time to get to know him, he is a descent man. He and I have been acquaintances for several years, I have not known of him being anything short of a patriot, honest, and will engage in civil and honest responses.

Sarge, my brothers and I frog-gigged many a night in East Texas creeks, lakes and bayous/swamps during the 50s and 60s. Occasionally, we would even nail a fish...usually catfish. Also, we ran into a number of cottonmouths that always gave us pause. One of 'em nearly 6' long came at my younger brother and I before we gigged him behind his head and pushed it deep as possible into the sand before it finally died. It took all of both our bodies and strengths to put it away...then we skidaddled out'ta there.

I have my own run-ins with Hemiman. But my guess is that, in your case, he may have misunderstood or misinterpreted your comments. For sure, he is no l*****t, prog, dem or liberal. But, I do not speak for him. That is simply my take on his reply to you. He is a USMC 'Nam Vet.

proud rep, Thank you for trying to settle me down. But, you don't start a conversation by calling someone a coward. Back home you meet someone new, talk, get to know them. Have a couple beers and then start Dissin each other. Coward was the wrong word to use. As soon as I read that, the hair came up on my back.

As a young lad in Oklahoma I used to catch Bullfrogs with a long cane pole, a short piece of fishing line and a fly (fishing fly) tied on - during daylight hours. Dangle the fly in front of the frog - it's irresistible to them.
