True liberals do believe in freedom, not control. Those who call themselves "liberals," today, do so to hide their true intentions. What really characterizes our modern version of liberals is that they lie. Everything they say, and everything they represent is a lie.

That is why, if you read American history, the founders were considered liberal. Current liberals are just conservatives (desirous of using government power to control people) who call themselves liberal as a deception to deceive people into following them.
