Honor our veterans instead.
Spend time with your loved ones.
Anything but football.
God bless you.
And God bless America.

Agreed. I am heading to a wedding thing for friends. It will be in a bar. I'll probably ask for hockey or basketball to be switched to the inevitable TV where we are located. If not, I'll position my back towards the game and leave right after the wedding festivities. You don't insult your friends to boycott assholes. But once that is satisfied, I'll leave and screw the NFL. But there were some damn good games yesterdays and some amazing upsets. Go college football.

We best honor our veterans and those serving by appreciating their sacrifices: it was for things like the peaceful right to assembly and free speech. If you want to mock or belittle what our men in uniform lived and died for, don't watch football. To not watch football because of the protests disgraces our Constitution. If somehow speaking out against perceived injustice puts your panties in a bunch, take a breath and then praise we still have this freedom. Abolitionists in both the North and South in the mid-1800s were treated much the same way as those taking a knee: they were upsetting the established traditions. But they were not, as those football players are not, attacking what this country stands for. It was the respect of liberty, as it is today.

I have been all day today.
The extreme shallowness of this thread and its comments defies reason. Down the rabbit hole fails in describing it. Systematic R****m in America is very much alive and well in this country. Having had a Black president, no matter how good or bad he was, does not erase, mitigate, or soften this fact. The Right wants to ignore the problem, with their enforced rose-colored view of our nation, while at the same time for eight years they persistently attacked Obama as a Kenyan Muslim, or for being Black. Nearly everyday in those eight years were dog-whistle and outright r****t comments from the Right Wing media.
All of you that have commented here are r****t, but WC at least admits it. No prize, yet not hypocritical.
What defect or deficiency of nurturing or nature produces people like you? That you can all be so d********gly blind is scary. Hope has a knife at its throat. Or maybe in its throat. I could be riding a tram in 1940 N**i Germany with party members. This is not hyperbole. And the fact that any of you cannot comprehend that fact means hope is, indeed, dead.

Of course you do. But why are you doing it? What is your point? If you think they are wrong to protest peacefully about r****m in America, please explain?

Why would you need to ask this?? It was nothing to do with r****m.

You Stink.
That's it? That is the best you can do to respond? Why not just stick your tongue out? Oh, right, words are needed to post. Wait, a video of you on the playground sticking out your tongue could be downloaded. More effective. Useless and dumb, but more effective. And more entertaining.
