What I have a problem with is the rich getting richer at the expense of the middle and working class. In today's world one can be a good guy, work really hard and never get ahead. J, I'm sure you understand the different types of income (money) and the different ways they are taxed. Or maybe not.

The rich of course pay the majority of Federal Taxes. If you want to argue that their accumulation of wealth is way higher proportionately to what they pay in taxes compared to the middle class I won’t argue. Exactly why all tax bills end up a payoff to someone. These guys are in it for themselves first, no matter what side of the isle they are on. We need term limits and a flatter fairer tax. Unfortunately the very guys that need to do that are the very ones in charge. I understand incomes and taxes. I disagree on taxing investment income the same as earned income because it’s been taxed before. Wouldn’t mind looking at a graduated system though. Investment income taxed at higher rates as wealth increases. Something like that. Never seen any government tax, or tax cut its way out of overwhelming debt. Unfortunately we need to cut the size and scope of the Federal Government.

The way that money effects and controls politics is by "donations" which is basically institutionalized corruption, thanks, even more so now, to the SCOTUS ruling that money is "free speech".
