For Seniors

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive,
    double-pane, energy-efficient kind.

Today, I got a call from Home Depot who installed them. The caller
complained that the work had been completed a year ago and I still
    hadn't paid for them.

Helloooo,........... just because I'm a Senior Citizen doesn't mean
that I am automatically mentally challenged.

So, I told him just what his fast-talking sales guy told me last year
--that these windows would pay for themselves in a year---

Hellooooo? It's been a year, so they're paid for, I told him.
There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally hung up.

He never called back.  I bet he felt like an i***t.

But what salesperson said a pool would pay for itself? Pools and boats are huge money pits that are never satisfied.

If it will fit on the back of my scooter, I'll be on my way!

2nd "home improvement" on our 1925 home was double-glass, vinyl-clad windows (tilt to clean) windows. Had them put in about 3 years after buying the home. They did pay for themselves after 3 years of savings from cost savings from home heating oil and electric air conditioning. Did the inside plastic "storm window" option the first 3 years since you could watch the curtains move from the outdoor breeze without something! First home improvement, removing golden "shag" carpet from the bathroom, and carpet from the living and bedrooms. Gross!

I love it. I'm old enough to perhaps try to get away with it. Thanks.
