Boycott the NFL Over This Weekend

Just as the players have a right to protest wh**ever it is that they are protesting, I have the right to avoid the NFL and all that it stands for. A National total boycott of the NFL is planned for Sunday, November 12th, Veterans Day Weekend..

Boycott all football telecasts. All fans, all ticket holders, are asked to stay away from attending or viewing any NFL games on Sunday, November 12th; let the NFL play to empty stadiums.

Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom came home with the American F**g draped over their coffin. Continue with the weekly boycott of televised games, but let’s make this a day the owners, coaches, players, and advertisers will notice.

They have a right to protest if they want to, but during the National Anthem is NOT the time or venue! They show an utter lack of patriotism and total disrespect for our Veterans – living and dead – and everything for which they put their lives on the line!

If you agree, please help this message go v***l! If you agree, please boycott at least this weekend!!!

I had already become tired of the silly r****t rantings of those overpaid i***ts employed by the NFL, months before the recent increase of their stupid anti-everything protests. My TV is permanently tuned to anything other than the NFL at any time that anti-American obnoxiousness is offered.

In other words, I have decided to boycott the NFL every weekend, and I hope that every veteran will do the same! I sincerely hope the stands are vacant forever, and that all sponsors refuse to buy advertising!

Semper Fi!

Don't forget you also have to boycott the NFL's sponsors if you really mean it.
You might have a hard time making any difference though. My guess is most users of these products are not on your side of the fence on this issue..

Anheuser-Busch, Barclays, Bose, Bridgestone, Campbell's, FedEx, McDonald's, Microsoft, Nationwide, Nike, PepsiCo, Ticketmaster, Under Armour, and Visa. Just to name a few of the big ones.

And if the ratings take a plunge, many of those sponsors may take a vacation.

If you don't watch the games, the sponsors will lose
a big chunk of cash through wasted advertising!

Other than a little soup, I buy none of that, there's always progresso. I can cook, but soup was never a specialty.

I think, Mongo, that there are more that will watch the games than not, and that the boycott will be useless.

Of course I could be wrong. In the 80's gay bars mounted a boycott of Coors because of their (and the controlling family's) contributions to anti-gay organizations.
As gay bars were the largest consumers of Coors (at least in Dallas), it really hurt them and the company softened their stance. Now that they are owned by Molson (previously by Miller) they have an e******y index rating of 100 from the HRC.

Sometimes boycotts work, sometimes not. We shall see.

Poppa Johns already took a hike due to fall in sales and bad feeling from their costumers
