If the Tea Party successfully sabotages Jeb Bush, the Republicans are toast in 2016. Jeb is the one person who can adapt to changing national demographics. He speaks Spanish, has a Mexican wife, and a degree in Latin American relations. Unlike his brother, he is bright, articulate and is not a shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy.

The Tea Party seems to have a "Samson complex". They would rather have the "temple" fall on their heads and everyone else in the Republican Party, than give an inch. This is especially so with the "common core" public school issue.

They may very well succeed in doing their best impression of Samson.

The Democrats will just grab some popcorn and let the festivities unfold........trying to restrain their schadenfruede.

I did not read the article. My commentary is strictly on the topic of Common Core.

Two more disparate states you could not find then Michigan and Texas. What do they have in common? Both are getting rid of Common Core. Other states are finding it a nightmare and seeking ways to rid themselves of the abysmal failure it is. Teachers are retiring and/or resigning teaching and in 90% of the instances two words are the reason, Common Core. We CANNOT continue to experiment in education at the expense of our young people! :!: :!: :!: Our standing in the world in education is an embarrassment! :!: :!: :!:
