One of the things to happen is the axis of Earth at the North wobbles until like a spinning dis en-caged gyroscope, that is maintaining our artificial horizon, flops to a new axis point engages and continues to spin at the corrected axis and the re-distribution of everything starts over.
That pretty much takes care of elevations to the current 500' mark. WTSHTF.
What if the Cascadia Fault that goes off every 300 years goes off?
What if Yellowstone actually does erupt.
What if the St. Louis fault happens? It is more than the Mississippi flows North for a while.

And the Governor of the state of Oregon and the House and the Senate have all committed a class action violation of all Oregonian's Constitutional guarantees. I know, by the Clearfield Doctrine, that only the ones that v**ed and signed are guilty.
