There is no proper punishment. Eight lives taken. What is one life worth? What is the substantial change of life in millions over this crime worth? If it were my one life lost I would consider it a big deal. Saying that I am reminded of a quote by Stalin: "One life lost is a tragedy, a million lives lost a statistic." The crime cannot be weighed by the number of lives taken. Just one is horrific and worth the worst punishment imaginable. Take it personally: you or one of your loved ones has been murdered. Taking a bike ride and being with friends. Personal. Not another broadcast of harm that may say "only" eight were k**led. Your loved one died. But how to respond? What best honors and respects and cherishes their memory? Tell me.

If there is no "proper punishment" as you say, then the alternative is to turn them loose with no punishment. But I don't believe that's exactly what you're saying. I'm a bit confused at what you're trying to convey and I suspect that's my fault. What the execution of a criminal can never be is revenge. There are, according to scripture, crimes that cry to heaven for justice. Justice and revenge are polar opposites. Christ before Pilate - Pilate tells Him don't you realize I have the power to put you to death. And Christ replies that that power (of the state) is granted by God. A society that does not punish their criminals will ultimately become lawless and life will no longer be sacred.

I wish that Donald would keep his MOUTH SHUT,about k*****g this creep,or a lawyer (that WE pay for) will tell the court,he cant get a fair trial because of Donald.
