Because she is the role model of class.

From experience all my boys were told if ya dont like what I can afford get summer jobs and you buy it.Also told them they want a car to start saving cause I couldnt afford it. They all started working by 14 except my youngest at 16 they also bought and paid for their own cars and paid for their insurance. Teaches responsibility they have all grown to be wonderful adults I'm very proud of all of them.

You could be a model parent. It is self-sufficiency you are teaching your fortunate kids to develop.
I was treated in similar style as a kid because the farm would not afford us any luxury. Personally, I can tell anyone that what you are doing for your kids is giving them one of the most valuable lessons in survival.

My kids are the same way bggamers. They rarely got anything given to them and had to earn it themselves. And as adults, I'm proud to have them as my children and proud to have them as my friends.

She has spoken about how they miss treated her in school but with her attitude I'd say she lucky no one kicked her butt. If I'm not mistaken didnt the goverment pick up most of the cost of higher education for both of them?

I don't know that for a fact, but I'm betting they probably did. I imagine we're picking it up for both their daughters too. And.....theyre both worth millions. Hmmmm..wonder how the heck that happens???
