NFL and Players could stop protests with STHLE (style)

The NFL"s feeble excuse of a solution, will not resolve anything except keeping the viewing public from seeing what they have already been subjected to and the fans attending the games will still have to endure… the disrespect and discontentment of the Athletes...

The NFL's solution is a slap in the face to Americans as they do not seek to resolve the base problems which the players will still protest, whether they show the dwindling advertisements from boycotted sponsors or not, during the playing of our Anthem...The disrespect still will remain...Not an acceptable solution at all....

How about this for as an alternative for solution?

NFL Players (based on their salaries), would donate a percentage of their earnings to the "Stop The H**e, Lets Educate" a much needed newly formed Foundation by the players concerned...

Contributors from all the major sports such as MLB, NHL, NBA and any of the other professional sports which would wish to contribute, could unify and consolidate their efforts to resolving the issues which exist socially and need to be addressed.

In addition proceeds from each of the Owners, The NFL Commissioner and the NFL, along with the Unions and commissions of the other sports would also donate money and time to the effort...

Players would also donate their time to the cities which are selected to begin the "Stop The H**e, Lets Educate" or STHLE, pronounced Style...The inner cities of most of the host cities of Professional Sports teams would seem to be the logical first steps... with the communities in greatest need being addressed first in order…

Monies donated could be used to create multiple Communities Centers from existing buildings for this purpose and or erect new ones as needed and meet budgetary constraints...

These centers could be outfitted with the most current available computer equipment and software for educational and practical use by the communities at large...Youths could seek tutoring, mentoring, and after class activities related to community growth and p***e...

In addition, these centers could be used as a meeting place for law enforcement to get to know the citizens on their beat and vice versa, which should go a long way to easing of tensions...

An Adult section could offer assistance with basic use of a computer, to more advanced usage including job search, filling out of online job applications, creating of resumes as well as provide guidance for Adult Education programs provided in their communities… Assistance for adults to acquire GED, High School Diplomas, and continuing education for businesses and promotion of small business ownership as well as opportunities for sk**led trades are among some of the opportunities which could be resolved for the community at large…

Men and women recently released from prison could use the facility to assist them with finding jobs in a more expeditious and friendly manner, allowing them to re-enter society as a useful productive citizen…

Law Enforcement officials and Community Leaders could use the Center to meet and discuss grievances and issues each side has and collaborate to resolve these issues in a setting which is directly related to and familiar with each community center, its citizens and law enforcement officers…

A higher more effective manner of communication between the community and the officers sworn to protect each community would Provide the opportunity to resolve issues in a timely manner and avoid misunderstandings and prevent the more violent clashes between police officers and community residents…

The presence of Star Athletes would promote the centers attraction for community residents and law enforcement officials alike and assist with establishing credibly and stability to each community validating the Centers overall…

Athletes could become positive role models for youths in each community and provide affirmation to each young citizen… Hopefully by exposing the Athletes to this forum it would help inspire the individual to aspire to the highest level of conduct in becoming that role model much needed by our youth…

It seems to me that education provides knowledge, and knowledge is power… Power to achieve goals and careers necessary to promote self-esteem… It allows citizens to become homeowners as opposed to renters doomed to the social welfare system limiting their ability to achieve thereby stifling their will to grow and have respect for the very community they reside in…

Inner cities are typically inhabited in a multi-racial citizenry and these centers could become the neutral grounds where respect, education, fulfillment of goals and ideas could be nurtured instead of falling for the h**e filled agendas being spread by elitists…These Centers could assist with raising the bar of achieving the level of education that society is desperately needing from its citizenry as a whole…

Communication will allow people to better understand each other’s situations and assist with preventing mistakes, misunderstandings and allow hard feelings to fester…This could go a long way in assisting the mending and misconceptions from citizens about Law Enforcement, and Law Enforcement about the citizens they are hired to protect….For any relationship to succeed there must be a high level of communication between parties…

Americas and President Trumps Agenda are one and the same… President Trump is committed to bringing back jobs for Americans everywhere and particularly in the inner cities…These centers could complement our agenda nicely and promote harmony instead of h**e…LETS MAKE AMERICA AND AMERICANS GREAT AGAIN…The best the world has ever known…

This suggestion may not be a cure all, but my feeling is that it is a much better solution than spreading disrespect, discontent, and animosity among our citizens and Athletes who protest for change… Allowing and promoting growth and unity among our communities, citizens and law enforcement…

At least it beats ignoring the concerns of citizens and Athletes alike, by simply going to commercial break instead of addressing the basic fundamental issues which contributes to the issues and are cause of the protests to begin with…
I personally will continue to boycott the NFL and its sponsors until a real solution is brought to the table so that all concerned benefit from this negative and disrespectful public display, turning a negative into a positive…allowing our nation and our culture to heal and grow in a unified manner…Stronger and Greater than before…

Here is an interesting idea, the men are Americans and as such they decide how they will protest injustice, you have no say in the matter.

The NFL players give up a percentage of their salaries???? I don't think so.
The NFL players give up some of their time? I don't think they'd be doing that either.
They protest but I truly believe they'd do NOTHING else to improve anything.
And, I don't even think they're bright enough to know what they're protesting.

You, on the other hand, have great ideas. If only they'd follow them.

Kevyn you are wrong about me not having a say in the manner...You read my article which confirms my say in the manner. the fact that I boycott this disrespectful behavior both the NFL and all their Sponsors supports my say in a financial way directly impacting the players,
owners and the NFL. Because I have taken it a step further and have gotten many citizens to boycott as well t***slates to an effective manner in which I have a say...You on the other hand probably do not have a say and as such should keep your limited imagination and unwillingness to resolve issues and only promote them to yourself as Americans are tired of this type of backward thinking and rhetoric...

Thank you for your v**e of support for the idea anyway... I too figure it is a stretch but at least it is a somewhat better thought out a solution, than going to commercial break during the Anthem, which will only cause iller will as now the sponsors will be directly impacted by being the ones to be blamed for condoning the disrespect of the players...

I am not sure what the answer is but I figure that if a win-win-win-win situation can be presented the citizens as a whole just might seek to embrace it...

just trying to come up with something more creative with a potentially more positive outcome than the negative spiteful disrespect that is occurring currently regarding the same issues...

It is sad to think that the people who are in the top 5% wage earners, many who started life in these very communities would balk at a chance to affect a positive change in the communities which they themselves emerged from...

as donations would be a tax credit they would end up win-win for themselves releasing a greater net income at the end of each fiscal year as well as contributing to society in the most positive grassroots social assistance movement known today...

but I digress, thank you again for the compliment on the idea in any case...

You obviously do not know the answers...

As I live in the downtown area of the city I reside in, I also live in the most integrated part of a population of approx. 2 million...

Here we are ahead of the curve compared to the rest of the nation as people for the most part look at each other as Americans and do not prefix each other with the invisible d******e lines that the less informed do...

My concern is for any person who is shot by a law enforcement officer is equal and if injust needs to be correctly addressed and guilty parties punished for the crimes they commit, including police officers...

as far as will I be donating...lol...I am one of those on a fixed income that needs to scrounge at food pantries in order to be able to eat the last week and a half each month...

I don't receive housing assistance, food stamps or any other welfare program assistance...and I am not, obviously, in the top 5% wage earner in this country... but I am willing to donate what I have and that is time...

as far as myself and Saladen forming a protest group...I am Saladen...

You are entitled to your opinion as narrow-minded as it may be, but that does not give you domain to begin to think you know answers to questions you pose to me and how I live, think and feel... only a pompous ass would make such assertions.

Now you have gone and done it... I feel bad.. Sorry I made assumptions about you that I had no right to do so..

In t***h, I felt that your proposed idea had merit..

Then those assumptions got in the way and my post became what it was..

Wish i had thought harder and done better..

Again, sorry for all that.. Have a nice evening..

No, you can decide who you do business with, and I doubt you will be turning in any season tickets to a skybox or have a Neilson box on your TV so when you and your sorry pals switch to placing bets on cockfighting instead of fantasy football you still don’t have a say.
