I'll take M855 Green tip ammo. But hold the Russian made ones.

Me too! they are bullet and primer sealed for long term storage and surprisingly go bang every time if your spring is strong enough. Plus they are several bucks cheaper.

I have green tips as well as 62 grn. lead. That was the original round meant for the AR-16 which had a 20" barrel. I don't know what the twist was but today with any length barrel a 1X9 will shoot anything other than the heaviest rounds with, .65 and below with accuracy. Where the higher twist loose it is with really small grn. rounds.

I buy both because indoor ranges won't allow them as the bullet may have steel in it and create an explosion via sparks.

A good investment. I just received my son in law's Christmas present. It's a 7.62 X 39 complete upper to go on his AR-15. Here in Va. we can't use a .223/5.56 on big game except coyotes and pigs which are harder to k**l than deer.. Our Military can and do use that caliber against our enemy's and they do b***h it's not a hard enough hitter, tends to just go through and not blow up in the guts, but we can't shoot deer with it, go figure. I kinda agree except our guys are doing a lot of spraying and praying. They're not taking calculated shots where you have time to place your bullet exactly where it is most effective. I want critters I shoot to fall dead immediately, but I'll comply with the laws, They have their reasons. Not everyone is a good shot or get buck fever and don't drop the animal. That's why I also have a separate 7.62x69.
I'm not made of money but have saved and armed my daughter with her own AR-15, my Granddaughter with her own Ruger 10 22 and her own.243. Her brother, S**thead gets a 10/22 this year. Their Dad is a gun collector and a gun master and between he and I these kids will grow up shooting. Weather they'll keep it up is up to them.

I don't advocate that everyone should have a gun but those who haven't been a menace to society should be able to own one.

To be honest, I don't need a gun, hell, I know how to k**l quickly, or slowly. I've been trained. Bottom line is I like owning and shooting guns. Those of you who haven't fired a weapon, look up your shooting range, they will question you on your ability, supply you with an (attractive) instructor and introduce you to the shooting family. Mike

I go with Israeli green tip. And they are made for storage. Good, flat trajectory.
