Its not our backyard and this should fall into the hands of Europe, especially Germany. Oddly enough nothing is coming out of Europe and what happened to our old friends the Muslim Tartars in Russia whom we supported all during the cold war with Stalin...not a word?

I think we need DO need to mind our own business. We (the taxpayers) have (through our interventionist foreign policy) for too long supported the military industrial complex's enrichment by sticking our nose in where it needn't have been stuck, except to support the enrichment of that same MIC. We also need to stop selling arms all over the world at taxpayer expense.

Why is it that some folks think the US is supposed to be the world's police force? Who really cares what happens in the Ukraine? How does that area of the world have an effect on us here in the US? It was rather odd that right after the former president of the Ukraine said no to the peoples' desire to join the European Union, r**ts broke out and all of a sudden he was gone.

Unlike CK, I have come to expect only disgrace, from this President and his ilk.

Then citizens were tired of graft and corruption from an elected president and favoritism toward his family and friends and to hell with the citizens, who elected him. Who cares ? Check the price of oil lately ?

Obama is a spineless puppy dog who's bark was weak in Sochi with his big "gay-agenda" thing and Putin knows he is a wuss.

CHECKMATE! Russia Approves Putin Request To Take Ukraine, Obama’s Move Now

SIMFEROPOL Ukraine — As Russian-backed armed forces effectively seized control of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula on Saturday, President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia requested —and received — authorization from the Russian Senate to use military force in Ukraine.

The actions signaled publicly for the first time the Kremlin’s readiness to intervene militarily in Ukraine, and it served as a blunt response to President Obama, who just hours earlier pointedly warned Russia to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Obama is good at droning timid wedding parties, but when it comes to confronting the big-dogs....well, he's a mere Chihuahua.

This is extremely dangerous. If we wait too long, we will miss another chance to send our troops into another country. We don' take no s**t from anyone. Let's get world war three going before the opportunity slips out of our grasp and some i***t negotiates a peaceful settlement. Obama has missed at least five opportunities to go to war and he should be ashamed.

Don't let that pussy, Obama, prevent us from starting another war. If we would only take the money we waste on Medicare, Social Security, food stamps, schools, health care, and highway construction, we could get this war thing going in just a few hours. Ours is bigger than theirs.

I think choosing to stand with others on the issue is the best way to look at it.

Stating that we appose what Russia would do in the Ukraine & would stand with others on the issue is the only way to look at it.

Unless you would like to go to war with Russia alone.

I say it is a statement to Russia & the world that it is time to put aside our arms & settle things peacefully.

Only some one that truly has strength can get away with saying that.

We can only say that now while we still have the strength to get away with it.

As divided as we have become it is only a while before we will have no strength.

Stepping up now will assure our place in the world as a true force in the future of the world.

Sometimes I wonder how you even get up in the mornings.

We all know when a real issue is discussed on this forum that your intelligence becomes c*********d due to facts about the real world....as opposed to your philosophical-psyche fantasyland.

Nowhere did I mention war....but if Obama showed any signs of strength in the foreign affairs dept. such as not backing down so easily from deploying missile defense systems for our Polish friends or not giving in to Iran's absurd lies they call a "delay" in uranium enrichment, then maybe bullies like Putin would have 2nd thoughts on deploying 150,000 troops to invade another ally of ours and occupy their sovereign land.

Your assuming nature and lame attempt at sarcasm is purely pathetic...as is your ignorance to real world issues.

Stick with the psych stuff because you are WAY out of your league here.

I suggest you go to the topic "gay rights" where you may excel in a discussion....someone called "sensible" and "Brian Devon" are there and you would be worshiped by those two.
Now go have fun.

I sure hope you don't truly believe what you just said. if you do, boy are you living in a dream world. Obama has no idea what he is doing when it comes to the military and against anyone like Russia that has a decent military, he is dead meat.

"Only some one that truly has strength can get away with saying that. " Well, if that is the case, then Obama is never going to get away with anything. He has no backbone and has no idea how to use the military. Sure he can bomb someone in the Middle East that has no military and fire missiles at people with no way to fight back, but against someone like Russia he doesn't stand a chance. He sent his people in there to stir things up, but now he has no idea what to do.

The last thing those people need is to get mixed up with the EU and all their bankers that are all set to rape that poor country if they should ever be stupid enough to join the EU.

Obama had no business going in there in the first place and now that he has things stirred up good, he thinks he can get away with the same con he is using on us. He is all talk and no action. He wouldn't dare go up against Russia.

"Stepping up now will assure our place in the world as a true force in the future of the world." Surely you jest. The only place we have in the world with Obama at the helm is as a house full of clowns showing the world just how stupid they really are. If you truly believe this garbage you were spouting, then I truly feel sorry for you. Do you really think anyone in Europe would go to war with Russia over this? With us standing with them and backing them up they would truly be lost.

It's not that I believe that our military is bad, it's just that we cannot stop every time someone shoots at us and go ask permission from Obama to shoot back like we have to do now. Obama running the war would put us at such a disadvantage that we wouldn't stand a chance in hell of winning. Sure we could win if Obama ever turned our troops loose on Russia, but he would never do that. If we did start to win, it would only be up to the point where they used nukes on us and then what would you do?? Go crying to the UN because they used nukes on us? Yea, that would really be a mean thing to do. I sure hope this post of yours was sarcastic and not what you truly believe.............

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is not a chess match nor a shoot-out at the OK corral. It is between strictly those 2 parties. Ukraine and Russia have an exceedingly complex relationship that goes back forever.

When empires, such as the USSR, break up there are often not clean divorces and clean custody agreements between the parties. The U.S. has no business getting involved in a "domestic" dispute. The better part of valor is truly discretion.

There is no education in the 4th kick of a mule. The U.S. should have learned something from the debacles of unnecessary interventions in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. American citizens have made it clear in the last two e******ns that they are not looking for anymore p**********l "cowboys".
