Here is something to think about. The Framers of the Constitution were trying to create an entity. It was to have the abilities (powers) that any entity needs, but they didn't want a tyrant to be able to take over, so (How to do) they divided the required abilities and separated them into different branches of the Government. All Judicial to the Court, All Executive to the Executive, and Legislative got power to Order, Resolve, and V**e (the thought process) and they get to write bills so they can collect revenue. So, Congress has been assigned the jobs of doing all of the thinking for the Government and Raising Revenue so they can pay their debts. In other words the Government is supposed to be self supporting. It is allowed to tax but that power isn't even in the same Section 7 of Article One. They pushed it off into Section 8. Taxation is supposed to be the last resort. (Bottom Line) The Federal Government of the United States of America is supposed to get off its ass, get a job and pay its own debts. See Jefferson to Madison of June 1789 for supporting testimony.

Here in GA, our Legislature is basically a part time job. My own Senator is a dairy farmer. We expect our politicians to have real jobs. Or be lawyers, apparently, if they can't find a real job.

That is the situation here in Virginia also. My Delegate owns a concrete plant. He is a real nice guy, but the Damncraps are shooting for him. They think he is an easy target.

Virginia's problem is it's proximity to DC. Half of Northern Virginia works for the Federal Bureaucracy. I have friends in SW VA who wish they could follow in the footsteps of W VA and secede.

Nova wages the dog. The three population centers equal the population in the rest of the state. The entire state map is RED with little tiny BLUE spots in Richmond, DC, and Hampton.
So the state is purple? Why do cities v**e BLUE?

Because most Democrats live in cities? (Rather most traditional Democrat v**ers live in cities.) The same could be said for Colorado. Solid red with a highly populated dot of blue around Denver.

So, what is it that happens in cities that creates dependency?

Same thing that happens to an ant nest. People or ants piled on top of one another create problems. Liberals tend to gravitate to places where there is someone else to do the problem solving. They believe in slogans. They can't be bothered with stuff like who will turn the wrench or drive the nail or fix the plumbing. They're busy with the BIG PICTURE.
It reminds me of a saying about armchair generals running the military; amateurs and poseurs talk tactics and strategy; professionals talk logistics.
Liberals are very good with pie-in-the-sky until the pie of reality hits them in the face like a Three Stooges movie. They are usually long on slogans and short on solutions.

Good for them. That isn't what I said. Most people everywhere make jokes about W VA. Other than Kathy Mattea, what has ever come out of that state?
