During his eight years in office Barack Obama committed many acts critics believed were crimes against America.
But one stood out as worse than all the rest.
And one Judge just dropped a bombshell that pointed to Obama’s treasonous actions.
Recently, Bowe Bergdahl pled guilty to desertion.
Bergdahl became a figure of great controversy when Obama traded five senior Taliban commanders being held at Gitmo for Bergdahl in May 2014.
He had been held in captivity after deserting his position in 2009.
After the trade, conservatives blasted the Obama administration for making the deal, and on the campaign trail, Trump too routinely blasted Obama for making such a trade and used it as an example of how incompetent Obama was as a leader and at making deals.
Meanwhile, Obama officials routinely swore that Bergdahl was a hero who served with distinction.
But that didn’t pass the smell test.
Upon his release, he was brought up on charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy that could have carried a life sentence.
The critics were proven right when Bergdahl pled guilty to these charges, and now he faces the prospect of spending his remaining days behind bars.
CNN reports:
“US Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl could spend the rest of his life behind bars after he pleaded guilty Monday to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
Bergdahl disappeared from his base in Afghanistan in June 2009 and was held in captivity by the Taliban until May 2014.
“I left my observation post on my own,” Bergdahl told a judge Monday. “I understand leaving was against the law.”
The 31-year-old said he deserted from his outpost to try to reach the base from where he was dispatched. Bergdahl told the judge he wanted to report “a critical problem in my chain of command,” but did not specify what that problem was.
There was no pre-trial agreement prior to Bergdahl’s guilty plea, both the government and defense said.
Bergdahl faces up to five years in prison for the desertion charge and up to life in prison for the charge of misbehavior before the enemy.”
Fox News Channel’s Andrew Napolitano blasted the plea agreement.
He ripped the deal because it prevented a trial where Obama was scheduled to be called as a witness to explain his reasoning for making the trade.
By Bergdahl pleading guilty and avoiding a trial, Obama is freed from having to explain why he aided and abetted the enemy.
