God meant for us to obey the 10 commandments

God meant for us to follow the 10 commandments

When God is scolding His children in Jeremiah 7:8 - 11, the acts committed were violations of the 10 commandments.
Behold, ye trust in lying words that cannot profit. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
Jeremiah 7:8 - 11
When Jesus describes what defiles a man in Matthew 15:19 and Mark 7:21 & 22, some of the actions were violations of the 10 commandments. If you examine them, four of them are between us and God, and six are between us and everybody else. This is why the two great commandments are to love God and your neighbor. Love endures but does not lash out. Loves primary concern is making the lives of the object of affection better. What if the person you love wrongs you? Vengeance is mine says the Lord. Wait on the Lord. At some point they will be convinced that you don’t deserve them and life would be better without you. This is your opportunity to get rid of them. The dirtiest way to fight is to let God fight your battles. He can have you see what is not there, believe what is not true, not see what is there, doubt what makes sense. Love conquers all. You can chop down a tree, and smash a wall with a sledgehammer, but you cannot chop water. If you love God and respect your listeners, you will understand before you teach.

The only GOD...the one who makes things happen for the good of mankind, the one who confounds the mighty and enlightens the humble...the one who calls the end from the beginning cause he makes it happen...right now there are a lot of people who are bewildered with the concept of a Almighty Creator...cause things don't happen to their timing...all things will be revealed in "I ams time...not yours and maybe he doesn't want you to know him at this time...

Do you think Muslims, Hindus...and any other religion doesn't make the same statement?

Well, the reason most people believe that things happen, "to their timing" is because Jesus promised it. Let's explore some scripture:

In Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:

Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:

For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Matthew 21:21:

I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Mark 11:24:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

...it appears that you don't understand words, Jesus's words. Jesus doesn't explore and describe a time frame for answering prayer. There is a allusion to faith, but beyond that, Jesus doesn't suggest that prayers won't be answered on some unknown time table.

And why wouldn't God want me to know? Why do you have to work so hard to explain the obvious, because of God's incompetence? What does your lack of scriptural insight say about your faith?

Other than scriptural, How do YOU know? If God hides himself, could that not be Satan who only reveals himself. Why does Satan get power to reveal himself?

Yup, ...imagine...crickets...

...I answered your question, where's your answers..to my questions..which are:

The truth is..you won't find it. And the reason YOU won't find it, because if you do, it would prove a contradiction. If nothing else it would raise a lot of other issues. If Jesus is the son of God, why would he change God's own opinion about it. In fact, if there is anything that Jesus, contradicts his father about, it would nullify his claim to be the son of God. Gather your things, it's time for you to go home and really challenge your own faith, not mine.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Gen 1:27

Apparently, God is ashamed of how he looks, if we were created in his image. Why did God give us eye sight if aren't allowed to see God? If one prays to God and one does not see God, than God is hidden.

"Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the LORD went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp. 8 So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, that all the people rose, and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle. 9 And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10 All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. 11 So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle" Exodus 33:7-11

I don't think God is a puff of smoke any more than I think you're a puff of smoke.

..so God does not reveal an image of himself, that we look like because he created us, because the one power he doesn't have is eye sight...wow, I've got myself spinning so early in the morning.
