If you worked honestly to gain your wealth, then there is much to praise and little to dislike about your wealth. However if your gains were acquired by running a s**m, getting people to donate to your "Charities" to fill your pocket, or getting half a million dollars for a 30 minute speech while your spouse arranges for the sale of urainium to a country which does not have the best interests of the USA in mind, and never has, then you should be in jail not on easy street.

Hell nothing wrong with being born to it. We now live in a country where NFL players who live better than more than 99.9 % of the world can convince a certain segment of the population (liberal i***ts) they are victims.

Nothing inherently wrong with wealth but a healthy perspective says that relative prosperity is a better goal than filthy riches which can easily become an obsession with gaining power over others, a fools dream.

Very funny but I would include the man with the orange face, they are all rotten. No surprise that they all know each other and Trump supported the Clintons.

proud, There isn't a damned thing wrong with being wealthy. I wish I was. If a person comes into wealth through his own hard work or his own smarts, and/or vision, more power to him. I love to hear stories about people like that , and have been lucky enough to know several people that made it big. Having said that, the wealthy should use a portion of their wealth to make this world a better, safer place. They must also realize that they have a responsibility to pay their fair share of taxes. Of course the word "fair" can be interpreted many ways. There in lies the rub. As a progressive, I believe in a graduated tax system. The wealthy should pay a higher tax rate than the middle class. I don't believe that they do now. Lots of loop holes. To those that are given more, more is demanded!

There is nothing wrong with being wealthy, in fact, that is everybody's dream - freedom from economic worries and the freedom to do what you want, go where you want. What pisses everybody else off is; those rich folk who act like they're a better breed of human, buy influence ( and therefor advantages ) in local, State and Federal Governments, take advantage of the less fortunate, and using their wealth as a weapon.

The slimy rich folks give the few decent rich folks a bad name. Maybe the decent one's should use their wealth to get the others in check - however - they'd have to be MORE wealthy than the slimy ones...............or they'll make enemies that will use their wealth to ruin THEM. Aren't humans wonderful creatures?

As usual you would be wrong. The top 10% pays 70% of all Federal Taxes. That may seem fair to you. It's not to me. Personally I think everyone in the country should have skin in the game. I like a flat tax, or the fair tax (google fair tax). What makes the progressive tax code such a mess is the deductions and complexity of the code itself. The rich can afford, at great expense, lawyers and CPA firms who's only job is to find loopholes and or exemptions. Having a complex tax code allows politicians to curry favor by slipping exemptions in the code to special interests. Even the child tax credit is a "bribe" to people from the politicians. A fair tax would eliminate these special interest provisions. No shelter. Spend more, pay more.
