I have asked admin about this but I thought I'd ask you guys. Their embedded adds are now high jacking my computer and cannot be turned off but for closing the entire window.

Somebody got some computer savy to pass along to stop this??

last year there was a period where when I was on the computer these adds would just hit my screen one after the other and it finally froze up my computer. I call the geek squad they went in and verified I had no v***ses like my son thought when they dug deeper they found a long list of phone numbers from other countrys trying to hack my computer I dont know if the adds were a cover or what but the time they got through my computer freezing up stop them . Geek squad cleaned everything and put in a new program called web root so far I have had no problems.

Ad Removal Programs were so effective that they have come up with the new system, so that you can't access their content, unless you delete your ad removal program or white list them . I've decided "not" to remove my ad removal program and refuse to be "made to comply". I can live w/o reading their content. Before the ad removal programs came out they would force you to read their ads by putting it on top of the info you wanted to read (very irritating)... now they are seeking a new way to "force" you to comply. Print media is dying and is now electronic... they don't have to buy pulp paper and ink by the ton any longer, thereby saving money BUT they want their earnings to remain the same. I refuse to play. They are the ones who need to return to non-intrusive ads that we will decide to click on or not. Advertisers k**led newspapers with all their ads and now they are trying to k**l the internet. They also k**led the joy of going to your mailbox with all their junk mail.

This one cannot be ignored. It comes on, audio which over rides all the other windows I have open on my computer. If I'm in the opp page, it resets the page to the top so I can't ignore it.

I make it a habit NOT to purchase anything advertised on a pop up add.

Web Root is a good place to start and many programs will stop ads, obtw Web Root is not new. Have never seem an ad on this board so it may be one of three security programs I use, hell my provider can't even tell then I'm on line.

(AdBlock) is a free browser app and works very well .
It plugs right into your browser . Very easy to use .
Automatic in all but a very few cases .

It just happened again. This one was an Army add. I don't think the others were.

It's only on my computer and I haven't been on it since Thursday.

Probably a problem with my computer, but they are definitely set up to infiltrate our base.
