The UN will welcome the antichrist because the Bible says they will. It's the only world body designed for world government. It lacks "teeth" now but that condition will not remain so much longer.
Europe has always held to forms of mysticism. I put nothing past them.
But more than that, if you remember Nebuchadnezzar's vision of the statue. Head of gold, chest of silver, lions of bronze, legs of iron, feet of clay mixed with iron and ten toes of clay mixed with iron.
Gold - Babylonian Empire
Silver - Empire of Medes and Persians
Bronze - Greek Empire
Iron - Roman Empire
Clay and iron feet - Holy Roman Empire (Christmas Day 800 AD Pope Leo crowned Charlemagne Emperor. Church and state married)
Clay and iron toes - The rebirth of the Holy Roman Empire or the EU as it's more commonly known.

The UN and EU are under the domination of the same spirit.
