Malachi chapter 4

Verse 1 - 3

The holy spirit has been active since Christ left. We really don’t understand the holy spirit. Some believe the holy spirit makes you dance or feel good or that it makes you have seizures. In John 14:26 Jesus says the holy spirit will remind us of the words He spoke. This is important for two reasons,- 1. The apostles were young when they were disciples but old when they wrote. 2. The King James bible wouldn’t be translated for another 1500 years. The holy spirit will warm God’s children, but burn the wicked.

Verse 4

God came to this reality and wrote the ten commandments with His finger in stone. The first four cover the relationship between us and God. The last six between us and everybody else.

Verse 5 & 6

There is only one father. But satan will come to this reality pretending to be Christ and will fool many, especially the biblically illiterate. The God found in scripture and the god people talk about that finds you a car, job, or mate are different.

fredlott63,

After looking at Malachi chapter 4, the information provided has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit and what your talking about.

Please get your facts straight and correct. . . . Are we reading two different Bible's ? . . . Or is this your interpretation ?

a. His prophecies foretell of the coming of Christ;
b. The reprobation of the Jews and their sacrifices;
c. And the calling of the Gentiles, who shall offer up to God in every place an acceptable sacrifice.
d. The prophecies of Malachi are regarding the rebuilding of the temple after the Babylonian Captivity.

The content summary of the the Book of Malachi is as follows:

Chapter 1 - God reproaches the Jews with their ingratitude: and the priests for not offering pure sacrifices.
He will accept of the sacrifice that shall be offered in every place among the Gentiles.

Chapter 2 - The priests are sharply reproved for neglecting their covenant.
The evil of marrying with idolaters: and too easily putting away their wives.

Chapter 3 - Christ shall come to his temple, and purify the priesthood.
They that continue in their evil ways shall be punished: but true penitents shall receive a blessing.

Chapter 4 - The judgment of the wicked, and reward of the just. An exhortation to observe the law. Elias shall come for the conversion of the Jews.

From the KJ version;
Malachi Chapter 4: The End of the Prophets. At the Second Coming, the proud and wicked will be burned as stubble—Elijah will return before that great and dreadful day.

1. For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

2. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

3. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

4.Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

5. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

6. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
