WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court dismissed a major challenge to President Trump's travel ban on majority-Muslim countries Tuesday because it has been replaced by a new version, sending the controversy back to the starting block. The ruling is a victory for the Trump administration, which had asked the court to drop the case after Trump signed a proclamation Sept. 24 that replaced the temporary travel ban on six nations with a new, indefinite ban affecting eight countries. That action made the court challenge moot, the justices ruled.

Trump tucked his tail and ran from a high court decision by backing down on his unconstitutional travel ban, the new ban is already being challenged in court by Hawaii and will come to a similar fate.

although an untrustworthy "F**e News Source",,,,http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/obama-mocks-trump-but-has-barred-immigrants-many-muslim-6-times/article/2594016

The first time Obama used section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, reports the Examiner, was to stop "immigrants or nonimmigrants" from emigrating to the U.S. under a broader ban instituted by the United Nations in 2011. According to the Examiner, Obama's executive actions on stopping immigration have involved people helping Iran, Syria, and Crimea. Iran and Syria are predominately Muslim countries.

I'm no constitutional scholar, maybe you could help me out and show me which part makes the travel ban unconstitutional.

You mean the same state's court whose case was just dismissed? No worries, by the time that case gets to court, Trump will just write another, and that case will become moot as well, and the process will start all over, coming to a similar fate.

Title 8, Chapter 12, US Code 1182, courtesy of Cornell University Law’s website:
(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens t***sported to the United States by such airline.

however,,,,, by so doing they will use judges with political views, not constitutional concerns, to delay and obviscate the rulings,,,,,

Exactly so. I was just wondering if Kev could show something from the constitution that makes the ban unconstitutional. Thanks for posting that, Jim.

Sad isn't, Ve'hoe... but one bright light is that behind the scenes, Trump has been filling the lower courts with more judges that have an originalist view point.
