Isaiah chapter 28

Verse 1 - 4

When you see the word “woe” in the bible, things will get worse for whoever the woe applies to, but if it doesn’t apply you can let it fly. This message applies to the northern ten tribes. Sennacherib, the king of Assyria, will soon come and wipe Israel off the map. While Assyria is conquering nations and making a beeline for Israel, Israel is killing it’s children in idol worship and loving pleasure and leisure. While they should have been preparing for battle, they were enjoying the blessings of God without living Godly. This has always been a recipe for disaster.

Verse 5 & 6

One day we will realize that God’s word is true and we shouldn’t be ashamed to call ourselves Christian. Judging is supposed to be bad, While we criminalize normal relations and legalize gay marriage.

Verse 7 & 8

Man doesn’t live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Imagine eating at a buffet. It has all kinds of meats, vegetables, breads, starches, and desserts. Now picture a buffet that served road kill, vomit, and excrement. Who would eat there? Yet nonsense is being taught across this nation, in churches, schools, politics, and across the American population. Churches expect payment for the nonsense they teach.

Verse 9 & 10

God’s word should be taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Read Isaiah 8:20. We must develop as Christians. We must start off with faith. We will understand later.

Verse 11 - 13

You can ask the congregation what they learned from the pastor’s sermon, the answer is nothing but we had a good time. Life was better when we were one nation under God. Christians today are cowards who are afraid to tell young men to pull their pants up. The bible is printed chapter by chapter and verse by verse, and we suffer because we follow blind guides.

Verse 14 - 20

Some people they can bargain with the devil. They are deceived and their plans will blow up in their face. The outcome will be different from what is expected. They will be disappointed.

Verse 21 & 22

Perazim is in 2 Samuel 5:19-21. Here David inquires of God before battling the Philistines. God gives David the victory. Gibeon is in the 10th chapter of Joshua. Here God fights on the side of Israel raining hailstones on the enemy and making the sun stand still. The time is coming where it will not be wise to disparage God or His children.

Verse 23 - 26

We should pay attention to this. Christianity is more about development than instantaneous results. God is in control and knows what He is doing.

Verse 27 - 29

Things that would break some, would barely affect others. God will not put more on you than you can bear. Sometimes I wish He didn’t trust me so much.

Isaiah chapter 28 br br Verse 1 - 4 br br When y... (show quote)

Sunday school that I am familiar with, teach book-chapter-verse! Bible study also teaches a book at a time, chapter by chapter and verse by verse and at the same time, comparing the 'like' verses in other books. Church sermons are not bible studies, they are the teaching of a 'lesson' or a principle in the Bible. It is to be a helpful lesson that Jesus taught in order for us to live a more productive, peaceful and happy life. Sometimes it is a 'kick in pants' and sometimes it is a 'hug'!!!!!!! Your continual bashing of all churches and their members and their method of teaching and worshipping is a reflection of your ignorance of other churches and your unrelenting judgemental and unloving attitude to your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Fred, you seem to continually live in a dark place, void of the beauty and joy that our Savior Jesus Christ has provided for each of us. We all have had some very 'dark' times in our life. He never promised us a life without sorrow and problems, but he did promise us never to leave us in our times of need. When we can no longer walk through that valley, he will carry us! I have lived through some very very troublesome lonely times, but at the end of that tunnel, there He is, our gift - our promise - We're HOME!

I will teach God's word as long as I breathe. If you don't like it, don't read.

TexaCan...I have found it best to ignore fredlott63. Him and iFrank have their own "secret" interpretation of the bible that only they are supposedly privy to. iFrank has even blocked me, I guess because he feels threatened by the truth and can't defend his position. I keep reading their stuff occasionally and may reply -- although with iFrank it's a little more difficult -- but for the most part I've "shaken the dust from my feet" and don't pay attention to them. God bless.

Teachers actually teach, they don't attempt to intimidate or change the lesson to fit their own agenda! I suggest that you go back and read all your 'teaching' of different books-chapters-verses!!! You will find that they all seem to say the same thing to you and it seems that it is very possible that what you discuss is your own life'!!!!!!! I have attempted to have a dialogue with you with RESPECT! You teach a religion full of works and rules, a dark place where singing and dancing and laughing is not allowed!!! Faith has no place in your religion!!!! It is a dead religion!! You're right! I don't like it nor do I like your attitude!!! I'm done! Good luck with your 'teaching' class?

Why would someone want to teach and not be able to discuss the lesson????? Doesn't make sense to me, but what do I know!!! LOL it's hard to try to be respectful to such a rude person!
