In Chicago’s densest concealed-carry neighborhoods, minorities hold the most permits

“The gangs have their guns; we want ours, too.”
That sentiment, voiced by Otis McDonald — the plaintiff in the lawsuit that reversed Chicago’s ban on handguns — is now echoed in a new analysis of data revealing where holders of concealed-carry permits in the city are most densely concentrated.
The Chicago Sun-Times studied the occurrence of CC permits within each of Illinois’ ZIP codes, and found that the heaviest concentration of permitted gun owners resided in some of the Chicago’s most racially diverse neighborhoods.
“Chicago’s highest concentration of permits is in the 60617 ZIP code — in the East Side neighborhood on the city’s Southeast Side — with 538 permits,” The Times found. “According to the census, about 55 percent of the residents in 60617 are black, 34 percent are Hispanic and 7 percent white.”
That finding appears to confirm what McDonald (who died last year at age 80) had been saying all along.
“This is what Otis McDonald was telling us before he passed away,” NRA lobbyist Todd Vandermyde told the Times. “People in his neighborhood and others were hungry for this but were denied by the political class.”

There are 84,701 people living in that zip code. 538 permits is hardly representative of a people "hungry" for guns but denied by the political class...

What population density vs CC.studies are you using to make that determination?
Also, being hungry indicates not being fed. I'd say that 538 permits out of 84,000 people would leave many "hungry" for CC permits.

Better questions would be what is the murder rate in that zip code compared to the murder rates in other zip codes of Chicago?
Have the higher number of concealed carry permits caused the murder rate to be less in that zip code, like it does all across the USA?
Does the measly number of concealed carry permits, compared to the the number of residents, actually affect the murder rate in that zip code, or is there a minimum percentage of concealed carry permits required before they start lowering the murder rate, as has been seen in other areas all across the USA with high percentile of concealed carry permits?

Will the liberals allow concealed carry permits when statistics prove that when a certain percentage of concealed carry permits of the population is reached, the murder rates decline significantly, or will they persist with the lie that people don't k**l people, only guns k**l people?
When a criminal is scared that his victim may shoot back, he doesn't assault as many victims, for fear of eventually running into one that may k**l him in self defense.
Law abiding people don't go around murdering other people, only criminals that don't fear their victims do, and only proven law abiding citizens are allowed concealed carry permits, while anyone with a criminal record are denied concealed carry permits, by laws all across the USA.
Very few women with concealed carry permits get raped and murdered, while most women that get raped or/and murdered are not concealed carry permit holders.

The relative low percentage of CC holders does not indicate apathy on the part of the citizens there. Rather it indicates an unexplainable high rate of CC denials which is extremely questionable considering the crime rate and population size. Why would these people be denied their right to defend themselves?

They should not be denied a CC if they are law abiding citizens, but have been deied their 2nd Amendment right by the liberals, progressives, and Democrats who run their state and local governments, which deny them that right for all the reasons that I had listed that are nothing but lies. People who aren't allowed to defend themselves, as the people in the entire Chicago area are, and why Chicago is the muder capital of the USA, are really not a free people, as the 'Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, & US Constitution' is supposed to warrant and gurantee them. The aforementioned are usurping their rights and freedoms under unconstitutional laws that they have passed to deny them their rights and freedoms, and unless you are brave enough to stand up and fight for your rights and feedoms, even against those who govern you, you will always remain a subject to be ens***ed, and in these cases k**led, for reasons those who govern you are forcing upon you.
