Not trying to make this "movie daily', but I am hunkered down from a million feet of snow and have been thinking of this movie I watched a few weeks ago... A Bruce Willis action flick, it has lot of cliches. And torture and murder of American citizens, Arab terrorists. planting bombs and k*****g pretty girls. American citizens detained behind chainelink barbwire compounds. The super patriot right wing General who declares his own martial law..Lot of action and fun if you like that..But what I found most curious, was when it was made..1998.... Has the twin towers as background... Well before 9/11.. But most of the concerns that were generated are in the movie.. Seems odd that the movie was made in 1998 and not now.. So if you like this sort of flix, this one is not bad..not a lesson, only entertainment......"The Siege"..

show quote)
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon on a cold, snow packed day.
Weather is nice here, so me and the Mrs. are going to the rifle range. I'm going to roll down the window in the el camino, and let my mullet blow in the wind!! Clear skies tonite, so maybe we'll see a U.F.O.!

You are a mean one... had to clear the barn door so I could feed my 3 geese and 1 duck, snow piled shoulder high. Much to much for this old fart to do one more time... Today started a 6 below zero.. Boy would I love that open window stuff... Have a good day...

Please accept my humblest apology for my meanness! The massive fist of karma went upside my head today, as I had to drive 400 miles today with a window that would only roll up halfway, and temps in the 20's.
  :-D

I envy you so much I h**e you. It is cold here and the snow is almost gone. Guess what. More in the forecast.
A friend and I were discussing how grumpy everyone is. She went to the doctor today and nobody was smiling and happy. Go to a store and it's the same thing. If we don't get sunshine and warmth soon, we'll all go nuts.

I have movie recommendation. The 1993 movie "Dave". The best scene is the balancing of the budget. It is worth EVERY minute of the rest of the movie to watch the budget get balanced.
Dave is a good movie staring Sigourney Weaver. If you like action packed movies like the Siege, you would like also the series "24," with Kiefer Sutherland. Awesome!

I think "Dave" sounds like a goodie to add to the short list....

In one movie, you get comedy, political intrigue, romance and A BALANCED FEDERAL BUDGET.

As I always seek to help my male confederates, Sigourney Weaver is the female lead. :D
