Confusion, the new normal

It seems confusing to hear all the "make America great again" chants for two years, then hear " our great, great country " at the same time. How can America be a great, great country, if it's in need of being made great again? To me, it sounds like Trump intends to demote America..........from great, great, to a single great.

Obamacare has ruined healthcare, or so we're being told, because with each incarnation of the GOP solution to Obamacare, we're told it will provide great healthcare. At the same time, we hear that Americans enjoy the greatest healthcare in the world. How can it be great healthcare and a disaster at the same time?

We constantly hear about how the wealthy and large corporations are being treated unfairly by our tax code, yet have nearly a trillion dollars in profits parked overseas. If they are hiding profits elsewhere, they aren't paying any damn US taxes anyway, so WTF are they complaining about? It hasn't stopped them from gobbling up rival companies, or paying CEO's perzillions of dollars, in fact, the US tax code hasn't slowed them at all. The popular solution seems to be a tax amnesty, even though they are comfortable not paying taxes already. Besides, the folks pushing for this amnesty...........are against amnesties in general. If that ain't confusing, I don't know what is.

We keep seeing all these protests and Op Eds about free speech and liberty for all, then listen to how speech and liberties need to be proscribed, from the same damn people. WTF? Either there's free speech for EVERYBODY, or there's no free speech. They very concept denies anyone the right to tell anyone else what they may or may not say, yes? The very concept of individual liberty, denies anyone, and any administration, the right to tell people what they may or may not do, yes? Folks protesting BEFORE someone speaks on a university campus, is denying that persons right to free speech. Anyone who tries to shout down a speaker is doing the same. If you're t*********red, you can't serve in the military, so where's THIER liberty? What about the liberty of straight service personnel's right to avoid serving with gays or whoever? It seems when we talk about free speech and individual liberty, we're talking about OURS, not yours.............and reserve the right to violate your s**t whenever we want.

The opioid epidemic may very well be a symptom of the above........the sheer volume of confusing statements is staggering. The volume of statements made that contain opposing concepts in the same sentence, is nearly enough to drive me to drink.

You have a very limited understanding of a wide variety of things. It is good that you are so versatile in your ignorance.

Thank you. You're singularly ignorant, which makes my versatility an asset.

I'm not sure what medication you're on, prescription or otherwise, but it's obviously the wrong medication.
