John McCain has become a sellout as of late. Hasn't done anything really well since his run for the presidency with Sarah Palin. I realize he is sick, but.... https://www.westernjournalism.com/mccain-becomes-liberal-hero-turning-gop-health-care-bill/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=patriottribune&utm_campaign=dailypm&utm_content=libertyalliance

I am really conflicted on this issue. I do not question the motivation of Sen. Rand Paul. He v**ed against Graham-Cassidy on principal. He feels that the bill does not go far enough in terms of repeal of Obamacare. Having read his proposed bill -The Obamacare Replacement Act (S. 222) Sen. Rand Paul, M.D.
https://www.paul.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/ObamacareReplacementActSections.pdf I can understand his opposition.

It is rare to see Sen John McCain on the same side on most issues, including this one. Is it plain vindictiveness on McCain's part in that he seems to oppose everything that Trump puts forward? McCain is one of the most unprincipled members of congress, so I can't believe that his reasoning is the same as that of Sen. Paul.

At this stage of his life and political career it seems he intends to go out with all independent guns blazing. When it comes to party or country he is choosing the latter. In a world of slimy self aggrandizing politicians and their mealy mouthed platitudes I admire John McCain for this stance.

While we may disagree on the motivations and principals of John McCain, I am glad that his v**e is a nail in the coffin of Graham-Cassidy. I will go with Rand Paul on this issue. Making a couple of token changes to Obamacare is not equivalent to a full repeal and replace. Start fresh and use the ideas of Rand Paul and Karl Denninger as a beginning point in real health care reform.

Who should elected officials be loyal to? Their buddies? Their party? Their caucus? Their party leaders? The President? The legislature of their State? The people in their State that belong to their party? All the people of their State? All American citizens? Their principles?

If there's an algorithm that helps them figure out the answer, I'd like to see it. Anyone who answers ONE of those and ignores the rest............is a piece of s**t.

Bravo McCain!

agree, what people are forgetting it's a lousy bill that will hurt millions of Americans and congressmen and senators should be loyal to the people, not their donors!
