anecdotal experiences prove nothing..but they do shape your opinions when they happen to you and it was just a story on there reaction. as far a southie.. boston is an old town and generation have lived in one section..but busing and the polticians drove them to place no one should evr go..but that was 40 years ago.. and the yuppies have taken over many of the old neighborhoods but i can still go to the north end and speak italian and the old folks understands me

Speaking of the people in Boston, I was walking down a street there with a kid from the Bronx in 1955 and he said, "My God, they think there are lots of Greeks in Athens, I wonder what they would say about Boston. He was from an Irish section of the Bronx and was very strong against most other ethnic groups.
