They never taught this in Medical or Nursing school

The people living in one State have different medical needs than those in any other State. Who knew? I was never taught that, but it is apparently covered in law school.

That is the explanation being offered now; that States must be given the opportunity to figure out the healthcare needs of their own people and how to address them. In my day, we were taught that all humans had the same basic healthcare needs and were taught how to treat common maladies. If we'd only known that Texans differed biologically from Arkansans and, well, everyone from every other State............we could have avoided much needless misery.

Now that we're all aware of this, we'll see a whole lot less interstate traffic............it would be hell getting ill in some foreign State that doesn't know how to treat you. Treating a Texan like you would a Kansan, could be fatal.

Two stupid comments. Yes, States know better what to do in their states. Every state thinks so. The point is, many different things will be tried and some will be bad and some will be good. Only time will determine which states come up with the best ideas. What we do know is that the Federal Government never comes up with the best idea and ACA proves it. Actually the worst idea. Letting states decide what is best within their state is still the best idea.

At least now you know, a little less ignorance in the world today. If you had only Googled the different illnesses prevalent in different states, you would have learned this without embarrassing yourself. As for myself, I thought that it was already common knowledge.

That might depend on what part of Texas the Texan is from. I think you might be over simplifying a bit.

Probably so, Texas is bigger than most States, so it makes sense.

Obama say: 'You don't need no stinkin' health care!' and , 'Da gummint bureaucrats know more about treating health issues than your stinkin' doctor'.
