I just read an article in the Washington Post (the liberal rag it is) about the new law that Mr. Obama with his pen in hand is signing into law. He's implementing that in major cities that there will be street cams which will take close-up pictures of all license plates and a distance picture of the all of the cars that belong to the license plate. This will enable the new FEDERAL POLICE with falls under homeland security to monitor the movement of all vehicles. It is supposedly to help ICE capture i*****l i*******ts. I think about that for a second and say why would Obama want to capture i*****l i*******ts when he wants to make them legal citizens? It makes no sense. What does make sense is he wants to monitor all conservatives and everyone that is against his socialist agenda.

Do I really trust that Obama would use the technology as is intended and not abuse our constitutional rights to privacy? Not a chance in hell. First off just who the hell is a federal police? I never heard of them until this came up. Just who is the federal police answerable to? OBAMA?

I don't know who the hell this guy thinks he is, but if this doesn't sound like Adolf Hitler then what does? If Adolf had this technology he would have been much more efficient st k*****g off his foes not just including the Jews. Something needs to be done and it needs to be done NOW. We cannot wait another three years to get this guy out of office. There won't be a country left that any of us recognize. Great job liberals and all you socialist assholes for v****g in probably the worst person that you could have v**ed in. I would rather have Vladimir Putin at least you know where he's coming from and is not a sneaky snake.

It is pretty obvious why this EO has to come into being. Of course, it has nothing to do with i*****l a***ns and I keep thinking about how The One once said that rural people cling to their guns and their Bibles. Of course, he won't be putting up those picture takers in my town. Some country kid would shoot them down before he caught me. Of course, they may get a picture of me being that country "kid" as it might take more than one round from my handgun to hit it.

What other reason could he be wanting to play that game for?

Damn you cons are so behind the times. Big brother has been watching you well before Obama became president. Try the past 15 to 20 years or more and at some locations even longer. You cons need to read about the changes taking place right under your noses and those that have been in place for years.

Not just cars, but in stores, on sidewalks, restaurants, everyplace people go......the only places that are not under constant surveillance is public restrooms. And it would not surprise me for those to be wired soon. There is a proposal on the books in AZ where i******s will not be permitted to use public restrooms--they will be arrested. Now, just how would they monitor that without the use of cameras in the toilets?

If those i***ts pass a law like the one you mentioned a federal judge would strike it down before the ink dries.

I do not think it has a snowballs chance, but I am following it: SB1070. AZ has done stranger things. This one just made me think.....how do they intend to enforce it? I don't think that they stopped to think it through.

You shoulda waited a day. From this morning's Washington Post:

Homeland Security cancels plans for license-tracking system
• By Ellen Nakashima and Josh Hicks
• February 19 at 6:41 pm
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson on Wednesday canceled a plan by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to seek a national license plate tracking system.
The cancellation came in the wake of a story by The Washington Post Wednesday that reported on an ICE solicitation for a company to compile a database of license plate information from commercial and law enforcement tag readers.
“The solicitation, which was posted without the awareness of ICE leadership, has been cancelled,” ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen said in a statement. “While we continue to support a range of technologies to help meet our law enforcement mission, this solicitation will be reviewed to ensure the path forward appropriately meets our operational needs.”
The idea behind the national license-plate recognition database, which would have drawn data from readers that scan the tags of every vehicle crossing their paths, was to help catch fugitive i*****l i*******ts, according to the DHS solicitation. But the plan raised concerns that the movements of ordinary citizens who are under no criminal suspicion could be scrutinized.
Rep. Bennie Thompson (Miss.), the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee, applauded Johnson’s decision on Wednesday. “I am pleased that DHS realized its error and has withdrawn the solicitation for a ‘National License Plate Recognition Database’,” he said in a statement. “The solicitation called for a large amount of personally identifiable information to be collected and used by ICE – all without apparent privacy and civil liberties safeguards or impact assessments.”
Thompson said management problems allowed the solicitation to go forward without approval from the agency’s leadership. He said ICE needs a director nominated by President Obama.

And, by the way, there was no law or executive order. Making up stuff that is easily debunked doesn't do much for your credibility.

There was nothing made up It was in the Washington Post as I said. It probably got leaked and they withdrew it because they got caught before it could be implemented. If the story hadn't gotten out it would def have gone into effect.

It didn't get "leaked"; it was announced.

They didn't get "caught", they listened to public feedback.

I was only pointing out that the issue unfolded more after your erroneous rant.

This has more to do with terrorists and our new age of technology. On the up side I guess we're employing more people, lol.
This is the future with all its capabilities and the thin line of doing something for our protection and infringing on our rights. it is a topic that should come to the table, but not only our federal government but also our local. With the computer age we are presently in an ethical crises.

How would they enforce something like that? Post bathroom monitors/guards standing in front asking for Id's before you go? lol

I have no idea. The latest one, and this one will cause a ruckus if passed. It is proposed, and this is the second time, an business can deny service because of religious reasons. So, they can deny you if you are gay, worship nature, or just look funny......
