Roy Beck in Hill op-ed to Congress:

We need E-Verify and the RAISE Act, not DACA

Dear Anti Immigrant-Anti DACA-Anti Chain Migration- Nationalist Patriot,

It's been a very exciting couple of weeks on Capitol Hill for those of us trying to bring sanity back to America's immigration policies. With the President repealing DACA, Congress is finally turning its attention to immigration.

Rep. Lamar Smith announced a pair of fantastic bills, which look like they may be the framework for action by the House. One makes E-Verify mandatory nationally, and the other is the House version of the RAISE Act, which ends chain migration and the visa lottery.

Patriot, I urgently need your help making sure they become law. Each donor, on average, helps several hundred NumbersUSA members send faxes, e-mails and phone calls to Congress.

Together, we make sure Congress hears more than the begging of open-borders lobbyists and the hyperbole of their mouthpieces in the news media. We make sure they know what their v**ers demand, and that those v**ers are paying attention!

You probably know we chiefly do this by helping our activists flood lawmakers with phone calls, faxes and emails.

Yesterday, NumbersUSA President Roy Beck delivered his message through The Hill, an influential D.C. newspaper aimed at elected officials and other policymakers.

Roy explained how a DACA Amnesty will just make our problem of i*****l i*********n worse, and why what we really need is E-Verify and an end to chain migration. Here's Roy:

"Most i*****l i*******ts come -- and stay -- for the jobs.
Congress has always made sure they can get them.

"Congress continues to refuse to mandate the well-tested and widely-used E-Verify system. The outlaw employers in construction, manufacturing, hospitality and other services, of course, don't use it. ...

"The federal government has turned the other way as outlaw employers have depressed incomes for Americans and those here legally... As soon as amnestied i*****l i*******ts become U.S. citizens, current law allows them to petition for their parents to also obtain lifetime work permits and permanent residency. ...

"[I]n the lifetime of a young Dreamer given an amnesty today, there would likely be time not only to obtain lifetime work permits for the original chain of extended family but for that Dreamer's grandparents (as parents of the Dreamer's parents), aunts and uncles (as siblings of the Dreamer's parents), and cousins (the children of the Dreamer's aunts and uncles). ...

"Every one of those adults could immediately bring their minor children and their spouse. Every spouse can start the same chains in his or her families. ...

"All of them could receive lifetime work permits to compete for jobs with working-age Americans who don't have a job, nearly one-in-four Americans, according to government data."
-- Roy Beck

The Hill, September 13, 2017

Patriot, we need your help to break those chains. Being published in The Hill was another great opportunity for Roy to be read by Members of Congress and their staffers, but they need to be told these things by more than just one man.

They need to hear it from thousands of their own constituents!

We have the tools to make that happen, but it takes the generous support of people like you to do so.

Join us in making 2017 the year of results,

Jim Robb
VP Operations
